Testing fresh concrete - Part 3: Vebe test

This European Standard specifies a method for determining the consistency of fresh concrete by means of the
Vebe time.
It is not applicable to concrete of which the maximum size of aggregate exceeds 63 mm.
If the Vebe time is less than 5 s or more than 30 s, the concrete has a consistency for which the Vebe test is
unsuitable.

Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Konsistenz von Frischbeton mit Hilfe der Vebe Zeit fest.
Diese Norm ist nicht anwendbar, wenn das Größtkorn der Gesteinskörnung mehr als 63 mm beträgt.
Wenn die Vebe Zeit weniger als 5 s oder mehr als 30 s beträgt, hat der Beton eine Konsistenz, für die die Vebe Prüfung nicht geeignet ist.

La présente Norme européenne définit une méthode de détermination de la consistance du béton frais au
moyen de l’essai Vébé.
Elle n‘est pas applicable aux bétons dont la dimension maximale des granulats est supérieure à 63 mm.
Si le résultat à l’essai Vébé (temps Vébé) est inférieur à 5 s ou supérieur à 30 s, le béton présente une
consistance qui ne peut être déterminée au moyen de l’essai Vébé.

EN 12350-3:2009 (E) 3 Foreword This document (EN 12350-3:2009) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 104 “Concrete and related products”, the secretariat of which is held by DIN. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by September 2009, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by September 2009. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights.
