Safety and control devices for oil burners and oil-burning appliances - Particular requirements - Part 1: Automatic and semi-automatic valves (ISO 23553-1:2014)
ISO 23553-1:2014 specifies safety, constructional and performance requirements and testing of automatic and semi-automatic valves for oil.
It applies to automatic and semi-automatic valves which are:
-normally closed;
-used in combustion plants to interrupt the oil flow with or without delay on closing;
-for use with oil types (e.g. middle distillate fuel oil, crude oil, heavy fuel oil or kerosene) without gasoline;
-for use on burners or in appliances using oil;
-directly or indirectly operated, electrically or by mechanical or hydraulic means;
-fitted with or without closed-position indicator switches.
ISO 23553-1:2014 covers type testing only.
Sicherheits-, Regel- und Steuereinrichtungen für Ölbrenner und Öl verbrennende Geräte - Spezielle Anforderungen - Teil 1: Automatische und halbautomatische Ventile (ISO 23553-1:2014)
Dieser Teil der ISO 23553 legt die Anforderungen an Sicherheit, Konstruktion und Leistung sowie die Prüfung von automatischen und halbautomatischen Ventilen für Öl fest.
Er gilt für automatische und halbautomatische Ventile, die:
als Schnellschlusseinrichtungen ausgelegt sind;
in Verbrennungsanlagen eingesetzt werden, um den Öldurchfluss mit oder ohne Verzögerung des Schließvorgangs sowie mit oder ohne Verzögerung des Öffnungsvorgangs zu unterbrechen;
für den Einsatz mit Ölsorten ohne Benzin (z. B. Diesel, Rohöl, Schweröl oder Kerosin) vorgesehen sind;
ANMERKUNG 1 Für weitere Ölsorten (z. B. Ölemulsionen) können zwischen Hersteller und Prüfstelle zusätzliche Prüfverfahren vereinbart werden.
ANMERKUNG 2 Ölsorten aus Raffinerieprozessen sind klassifiziert als ISO-F-D nach ISO 8216-99 und bilden einen Teil einer Einrichtung mit (einer) anderen Funktion(en) z. B. Ölpumpen. In diesem Fall gelten die Prüfverfahren für diejenigen Bauteile oder Komponenten der Einrichtung, die die automatischen und halbautomatischen Ventile bilden, d. h. die Bauteile, die für die Schließfunktion erforderlich sind;
für die Anwendung an Brennern oder in Geräten vorgesehen sind, die Öl nutzen;
direkt oder indirekt elektrisch oder durch mechanische oder hydraulische Hilfsmittel betrieben werden;
mit Anzeigen für die Geschlossenstellung ausgestattet sind oder nicht.
Dieser Teil der ISO 23553 behandelt nur die Typprüfung.

L'ISO 23553-1:2014 spécifie les exigences relatives à la sécurité, à la conception et aux performances ainsi que les essais applicables aux robinets automatiques et semi-automatiques destinés à des appareils à combustible liquide.
Elle s'applique aux robinets automatiques et semi-automatiques qui sont:
-normalement fermés;
-utilisés dans des installations de combustion dans le but d'interrompre l'écoulement du combustible liquide avec ou sans retard sur la fermeture;
-conçus pour être utilisés avec des types de combustible liquide (par exemple, fioul de distillat moyen, pétrole brut, fioul lourd ou kérosène) sans essence;
-conçus pour être utilisés sur des brûleurs ou des appareils à combustible liquide;
-actionnés directement ou indirectement par un moyen électrique, mécanique ou hydraulique;
-équipés ou non de commutateurs à indicateurs de position fermée.
L'ISO 23553-1:2014 couvre uniquement les essais de type.

Standard EN ISO 23553-1 opredeljuje varnostne zahteve, konstrukcijske zahteve in zahteve glede zmogljivosti ter metode za preskušanje avtomatskih in polavtomatskih ventilov za nafto. Velja za avtomatske in polavtomatske ventile za nafto, ki: - so običajno zaprti, - se uporabljajo v kurilnih napravah za prekinitev dotoka nafte z ali brez zakasnjenega zapiranja; - se uporabljajo z vrstami olja brez bencina (npr. srednje destilatno kurilno olje, surova nafta, težko olje ali kerozin).

This document (EN ISO 23553-1:2014) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 161 “Control and
protective devices for gas and/or oil burners and appliances” in collaboration with Technical Committee
CEN/TC 47 “Atomizing oil burners and their components - Function - Safety - Testing” the secretariat of which
is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by November 2014, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn
at the latest by November 2014.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
