Plastics - Determination of matter extractable by organic solvents (conventional methods) (ISO 6427:2013)
ISO 6427:2013 specifies methods for the determination of components in plastics that can be extracted by hot organic liquids near their boiling points. For one special case, a so-called cold-extraction method is given.
The extractable components can be monomers, oligomers, polymers, plasticizers, stabilizers, etc. The kind and percentage of extractable matter influence the properties of plastics.
The recommended extraction liquid depends on the type of plastic and on the purpose of the determination. The extracted amounts of special constituents are often not quantitative in the sense of analytical chemistry.

Diese Internationale Norm legt Verfahren zur Bestimmung von Bestandteilen in Kunststoffen, die durch heiße, organische Flüssigkeiten dicht unter ihren Siedetemperaturen extrahiert werden können, fest. Für einen speziellen Fall ist in Anhang B ein sogenanntes Kalt-Extraktions-Verfahren angegeben.
Die extrahierbaren Bestandteile können aus Monomeren, Oligomeren, Polymeren, Weichmachern, Stabilisatoren usw. bestehen. Die Art und die Menge an extrahierbaren Bestandteilen hat Einfluss auf die Eigenschaften der Kunststoffe.
Die anzuwendende Extraktionsflüssigkeit richtet sich nach der Art des Kunststoffes und nach dem Ziel der Bestimmung (siehe Tabelle 1). Die extrahierbaren Mengen bestimmter Bestandteile werden oft nicht quantitativ im Sinne der analytischen Chemie erfasst.
Diese Internationale Norm ist nicht anzuwenden bei Kunststoffen, die mit Lebensmitteln oder Trinkwasser in Berührung kommen. Für diese Kunststoffe bestehen in vielen Ländern spezielle Vorschriften. Um Kunststoffe in Übereinstimmung mit diesen Vorschriften zu prüfen, sind in den meisten Fällen andere Prüfverfahren anzuwenden als diese, die in dieser Internationalen Norm genannt werden. Die Prüfverfahren dieser Internationalen Norm sind nicht dafür vorgesehen, für Migrationstests angewendet zu werden.
Wenn diese Internationale Norm dazu verwendet wird, um andere als die in der Tabelle 1 aufgeführten Kunststoffe zu prüfen, müssen die Prüfbedingungen zwischen den beteiligten Parteien vereinbart werden.

L'ISO 6427:2013 spécifie des méthodes pour la détermination des composants dans les plastiques pouvant être extraits au moyen de liquides organiques chauds près de leurs points d'ébullition. Pour une utilisation spéciale, une méthode d'extraction froide est spécifiée.
Les composants extractibles peuvent être des monomères, des oligomères, des polymères, des plastifiants, des stabilisants, etc. La nature et le pourcentage de la matière extractible ont une influence sur les propriétés des plastiques.
Le liquide d'extraction recommandé dépend du type de plastique mis en présence ainsi que du but de la détermination. Les quantités de composants spéciaux extraites sont souvent non quantitatives dans le sens de la chimie analytique.

EN ISO 6427 navaja metode za določevanje komponent v polimernih materialih, ki se izločijo z ekstrakcijo z vročimi organskimi tekočinami blizu svojih vrelišč. Za en posebni primer je v Dodatku B podana tako imenovana metoda hladne ekstrakcije. Komponente, ki se izločijo, so lahko monomeri, oligomeri, polimeri, mehčalci, stabilizatorji itd. Vrsta in odstotek snovi, ki se lahko izloči, vpliva na lastnosti polimernih materialov. Priporočena ekstrakcijska tekočina je odvisna od vrste polimernega materiala in namena določevanja. Ekstrahirane količine posebnih sestavih pogosto niso kvantitativne v smislu analitične kemije. Ta mednarodni standard ne velja za polimerne materiale, ki so v stiku s hrano ali pitno vodno. Za te polimerne materiale so v mnogih državah določeni posebni predpisi. V večini primerov se za preskušanje skladnosti polimernih materialov s temi predpisi uporabljajo metode, ki niso podane v tem mednarodnem standardu. Metode v tem mednarodnem standardu niso namenjene za uporabo v preskusih migracije. Če se ta mednarodni standard uporablja za preskušanje polimernih materialov, ki niso navedeni v tabeli 1, se morajo zainteresirane strani dogovoriti o delovnih pogojih.

The text of ISO 6427:2013 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 61 “Plastics” of the
International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO 6427:2014 by
Technical Committee CEN/TC 249 “Plastics” the secretariat of which is held by NBN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by December 2014, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn
at the latest by December 2014.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
