This document specifies minimum performance requirements for self-contained open-circuit compressed air breathing apparatus with half mask designed to be used with positive pressure only.
This document does not apply to escape apparatus, diving apparatus and apparatus used for fire fighting.
Laboratory and practical performance tests are included for the assessment of compliance with the requirements.

Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für Fluchtgeräte, Tauchgeräte und Geräte zur Brandbekämpfung.
Laborprüfungen und praktische Leistungsprüfungen sind zum Beurteilen der Übereinstimmung mit den Anforde-run-gen enthalten.

La présente Norme européenne ne s'applique pas aux appareils conçus pour l'évacuation, la plongée ou aux appareils de lutte contre l'incendie.
Elle contient des essais pratiques de performance et des essais en laboratoire pour s'assurer de la conformité avec les exigences.
