1.1 Dieser Teil von EN 10263 gilt für runden Walzdraht, runde Stäbe und Draht aus nichtrostendem
Stahl zum Kaltstauchen und Kaltfließpressen mit einem Durchmesser bis einschließlich:
- 25 mm bei ferritischen und austenitisch-ferritischen Stählen,
- 50 mm bei austenitischen Stählen,
- 100 mm bei martensitischen Stählen.
1.2 Dieser Teil von EN 10263 wird ergänzt durch EN 10263-1.

1.1   La présente partie 5 de l'EN 10263 s'applique au fil machine, aux barres de section circulaire et aux fils en acier inoxydable pour déformation et extrusion à froid de diamètre inférieur ou égale à :
¾ 25 mm pour les aciers ferritiques et austeno-ferritiques ;
¾ 50 mm pour les aciers austénitiques ;
¾ 100 mm pour les aciers martensitiques.
1.2   La présente partie 5 de l'EN 10263 est complétée par la partie 1 de cette même norme.

Page 5EN 10263-5:20016.2Chemical composition6.2.1Heat analysisThe chemical composition shall be in accordance with the values specified in table 2 for the heatanalysis.6.2.2Product analysisIn cases where a product analysis is requested, the admissible deviations from the valuesspecified for the heat analysis are indicated in table 3.6.3Mechanical propertiesThe mechanical properties of the products, to be determined by the tensile test, shall be inaccordance with the prescriptions given in table 4, 5, 6 and 7.6.4Surface quality6.4.1Rod is normally supplied in the pickled condition.
Mechanical descaling (sandblasting) canalso be used, in which case a subsequent treatment in a pickling solution shall be carried outunless otherwise agreed.
Particular processes such as peeling can also be applied, subject tospecific agreement at the time of enquiry and order.6.4.2Minor surface imperfections which may occur under normal manufacturing conditions, suchas scores originating from rolled-in scale, shall not be regarded as defects.6.4.3Any particular surface requirements may be agreed at the time of enquiry and order.6.5Supplementary or special requirements6.5.1Aptitude to cold formingA test for the verification of the aptitude of products to cold forming may be carried out if agreed atthe time of enquiry and order.If for the verification of the aptitude to cold forming the upsetting test is applied, it shall be carriedout as follows:-a test piece with an in
