Fire detection and fire alarm systems - Part 17: Short-circuit isolators

This European Standard specifies requirements, test methods and performance criteria for short-circuit isolators, for use in fire detection and fire alarm systems for buildings (see EN 54-1).
Means of isolation or protection incorporated within control and indicating equipment (Item B in Figure 1 of EN 54-1:1996) are not covered by this European Standard.

Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen, Prüfverfahren und Leistungsmerkmale für Kurzschlussisolatoren fest,
die in Brandmeldeanlagen für Gebäude eingesetzt werden (siehe EN 54-1).
Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für Isolations- oder Schutzeinrichtungen, die in der Brandmelderzentrale (Bestand-teil
B in Bild 1 der EN 54-1:1996) eingebaut sind.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les exigences, les méthodes d'essai et les critères de performance relatifs aux isolateurs de court-circuit utilisés dans les systèmes de détection et d'alarme incendie dans les bâtiments (voir EN 54-1).
Les systèmes d’isolation ou de protection intégrés dans l’équipement de contrôle et de signalisation (point B de la Figure 1 de l’EN 54-1:1996) ne sont pas couverts par la présente Norme européenne

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2006, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by December 2008.
