This document defines wood-based panels for use in construction and specifies the relevant characteristics and the appropriate test methods to determine these characteristics for wood-based panels, unfaced, overlaid, veneered or coated:
-   for internal use as structural components in dry conditions ) ;
-   for internal (or protected external) use as structural components in humid conditions ) ;
-   for external use as structural components ) ;
-   for internal use as non-structural components in dry conditions1);
-   for internal (or protected external) uses as non structural components in humid conditions2);
-   for external use as non-structural components3);
-   for use as structural floor decking on joists in dry1) or humid2) or external3) conditions;
-   for use as structural roof decking on joists in dry1) or humid2) or external3) conditions;
-   for use as structural wall sheathing on studs in dry1) or humid2) or external3) conditions.
   It provides for the evaluation of conformity and the requirements for marking these products.
This document covers wood-based panels in the form of solid wood panels, LVL ) , plywood, OSB, particleboards (chipboards) either resin- or cement-bonded, wet process fibreboards (hardboards, medium boards, softboards) and dry process fibreboards (MDF) for use in construction. They may contain chemical agents to improve their reaction to fire and their resistance to biological attack, e.g. by fungi and insects.
This document is not intended to be applicable to wood-based panels for use in non-constructional applications.

Diese Europäische Norm definiert Holzwerkstoffe für die Verwendung im Bauwesen und legt deren Wesentliche Eigenschaften fest. Sie beschreibt geeignete Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung dieser Eigenschaften für Holzwerkstoffe, roh, beschichtet, furniert oder lackiert:
-   für die Innenverwendung als tragende Bauteile im Trockenbereich );
-   für die Innen  oder geschützte Außenverwendung als tragende Bauteile im Feuchtbereich );

-   für die Verwendung als tragende Wandbeplankung auf Rippen im Trocken1)  Feucht2)- oder Außenbereich3);
Die Norm beschreibt die Bewertung der Konformität dieser Erzeugnisse sowie die Anforderungen an ihre Kenn-zeichnung.
Diese Norm gilt für Holzwerkstoffe zur Verwendung im Bauwesen in Form von Massivholzplatten, Furnierschichtholz (LVL) ), Sperrholz, Platten aus langen, schlanken, ausgerichteten Spänen (OSB), kunstharzgebundenen und zementgebundenen Spanplatten, Faserplatten nach dem Nassverfahren (harte Platten, mittelharte Platten, poröse Platten) und Platten nach dem Trockenverfahren (MDF). Sie können chemische Substanzen zur Verbesserung des Brandverhaltens und der Widerstandsfähigkeit gegen biologischen Befall z. B. durch Pilze und Insekten enthalten.
Diese Norm gilt nicht für Holzwerkstoffe zur Verwendung außerhalb des Bauwesens.

Le présent document définit les panneaux à base de bois pour usage dans la construction et prescrit les caractéristiques pertinentes et méthodes d’essais appropriées pour la détermination des caractéristiques des panneaux à base de bois, bruts, recouverts, plaqués ou revêtus :
-   pour usage intérieur en milieu sec 1)  en tant que composants structurels ;
-   pour usage intérieur en milieu humide 2)  (ou en extérieur protégé) en tant que composants structurels ;

La norme prévoit l’évaluation de la conformité et les exigences de marquage de ces produits.
Ce document s’applique aux panneaux à base de bois sous forme de bois panneautés, lamibois 4) , contreplaqué, OSB, et de panneaux de particules, soit des panneaux de particules liées au ciment ou à la résine et des panneaux de fibres obtenus par procédé humide (panneaux durs, panneaux mi-durs, panneaux isolants) et panneaux de fibres obtenus par procédé à sec (MDF) destinés à la construction. Ils peuvent contenir des agents chimiques en vue d’améliorer leur réaction au feu et résister aux attaques biologiques, par exemple celles des champignons et des insectes.
Ce document n’est pas applicable aux panneaux à base de bois destinés à des usages autres que la construction.

Standard SIST EN 13986:2005+A1 (sl), Lesne plošče za uporabo v gradbeništvu – Lastnosti,

vrednotenje skladnosti in označevanje, 2015, ima status slovenskega standarda in je istoveten

evropskemu standardu EN 13986:2004+A1 (en), Wood-based panels for use in construction –

Characteristics, evaluation of conformity and marking, 2015.
Ta standard nadomešča SIST EN 13986:2005.
NACIONALNI PREDGOVOR

Evropski standard EN 13986:2004+A1:2015 je pripravil tehnični odbor Evropskega komiteja za

standardizacijo CEN/TC 112 Lesene plošče. Slovenski standard SIST EN 13986:2005+A1:2015 je

prevod evropskega standarda EN 13986:2004+A1:2015 v angleškem jeziku. V primeru spora glede

besedila slovenskega prevoda v tem standardu je odločilen izvirni evropski standard v enem izmed

treh uradnih jezikov CEN. Slovensko izdajo standarda je pripravil tehnični odbor SIST/TC LLZ Les,

lesni izdelki in zaščita lesa.

Odločitev za privzem tega standarda je v maju 2018 sprejel SIST/TC LLZ Les, lesni izdelki in zaščita

lesa.

Predgovor

Ta dokument (EN 13986:2004+A1:2015) je pripravil tehnični odbor CEN/TC 112 Lesne plošče,

katerega sekretariat vodi DIN.

Ta evropski standard mora dobiti status nacionalnega standarda bodisi z objavo istovetnega besedila

ali z razglasitvijo najpozneje do oktobra 2015, nacionalni standardi, ki so z njim v nasprotju, pa morajo

biti razveljavljeni najpozneje do januarja 2017.

Opozoriti je treba na možnost, da so lahko nekateri elementi tega dokumenta predmet patentnih

pravic. CEN (in/ali CENELEC) ne prevzema odgovornosti za identifikacijo katerihkoli ali vseh takih

patentnih pravic.

1 Področje uporabe

V tem dokumentu so opredeljene lesne plošče za uporabo v gradbeništvu ter specificirane ustrezne

lastnosti in primerne preskusne metode za ugotavljanje teh lastnosti za surove, obložene, furnirane ali

lakirane lesne plošče:
– za notranjo uporabo kot nosilni elementi v suhih pogojih,

– za notranjo uporabo (ali zaščiteno zunanjo) kot nosilni elementi v vlažnih pogojih,

– za zunanjo uporabo kot nosilni elementi,

Določeni so pravila vrednotenja skladnosti teh proizvodov in zahteve za označevanje teh proizvodov.

Ta dokument obravnava naslednje vrste lesnih plošč za uporabo v gradbeništvu: masivne lesne

plošče, LVL, vezane plošče, OSB, iverne plošče z lepilnimi smolami ali cementom, vlaknene plošče,

izdelane po mokrem postopku (trde plošče, srednje trde plošče, mehke plošče), in vlaknene plošče,

izdelane po suhem postopku (MDF). Plošče lahko vsebujejo kemična sredstva za izboljšanje odziva

na ogenj in njihove odpornosti proti biološkim škodljivcem, npr. glivam in žuželkam.

Ta dokument ni namenjen za lesne plošče, ki se uporabljajo v negradbene namene.
