Les brûleurs conformes à la présente norme sont des machines ou des composants qui relèvent du champ d’application de la directive 98/37/CE de l’UE.
La philosophie du risque adoptée dans la présente norme est fondée sur l’analyse des dangers du fait de l’application de brûleurs au titre de machines selon la directive 98/37/CE de l’UE.
La présente norme conjointement à l’Annexe J traite de tous les dangers significatifs, situations dangereuses et événements dangereux relatifs aux brûleurs, lorsqu’ils sont utilisés aux fins et dans les conditions prévues par le fabricant.
S’il y a lieu, tous les dangers résiduels sont identifiés et communiqués à l’utilisateur.
En fonction de l’emplacement de l’installation, des exigences supplémentaires peuvent s’appliquer pour tenir compte des risques résultant des charges dues à la circulation, au vent, aux séismes et au feu d’origine externe.
La présente norme spécifie les exigences que le fabricant doit satisfaire afin de garantir la sécurité des personnes et des biens pendant la mise en service, le démarrage, le fonctionnement, l’arrêt et l’entretien ainsi que dans le cas de défauts ou de défaillances prévisibles. Elle spécifie les exigences de sécurité à des étapes de vie de l’équipement, de sa conception, commande, construction et utilisation.
Le présent document n’est pas applicable aux brûleurs fabriqués avant la date de publication du présent document par le CEN.
