Terminations for steel wire ropes - Safety - Part 1: Thimbles for steel wire rope slings

This European Standard specifies the minimum requirements for non welded general purpose steel thimbles produced from plate having dimensions in accordance with Figure 1. The thimbles are intended to be used in slings made with six or eight strand steel wire ropes from 8 mm to 60 mm diameter complying with prEN 12385-4:2001.
Reeving thimbles and solid thimbles are not covered by this standard.
The hazards covered by this standard are identified in clause 4.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Mindestanforderungen an nichtgeschweißte Stahlkauschen aus Blech für allgemeine Zwecke mit Maßen nach Bild 1 fest. Die Kauschen sind zur Verwendung bei Anschlagseilen, die aus 6- oder 8-litzigen Drahtseilen aus Stahldraht nach EN 12385-4 mit Durchmessern von 8 mm bis 60 mm hergestellt sind, bestimmt.
Durchsteck- und Vollkauschen sind nicht Gegenstand dieser Norm.
Gefährdungen, die in dieser Norm behandelt werden, sind in Abschnitt 4 angegeben.

Terminaisons pour câbles en acier - Sécurité - Partie 1: Cosses pour élingues en câbles d'acier

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les prescriptions minimales pour l'aptitude à l'emploi des cosses en acier non soudées d'usage courant, produites à partir d'une plaque dont les dimensions sont conformes à la Figure 1. Les cosses sont destinées à être utilisées en élingues composées de 6 ou 8 torons en acier, de diamètre compris entre 8 mm et 60 mm, conformément au prEN 12385-4:2001.
Les cosses à engagement simple et les cosses pleines ne sont pas couvertes par la présente norme.
L'article 4 identifie les phénomènes dangereux couverts par la présente norme.
