Vitreous and porcelain enamels - Production of specimens for testing enamel on sheet steel, sheet aluminium and cast iron

This European Standard specifies the method for the production of specimens suitable for testing vitreous and porcelain enamel coatings.
The standard specifies 2 different specimens:
   specimens taken from production article, and
   specially produced specimens.  
NOTE   Only the specially produced specimens can be used when the loss in mass per unit area of the enamel coating is to be determined quantitatively as specimens cut from enamelled articles can reduce the accuracy of the test method.

Dieses Dokument legt ein Prüfverfahren zur Herstellung von Proben fest, die für die Prüfung von
Email-Schichten geeignet sind.
Das Dokument legt zwei unterschiedliche Probenarten fest:
- Proben, aus emaillierten Gegenständen entnommen;
- speziell angefertigte Proben.
Wenn der Massenverlust je Flächeneinheit der Emailschicht quantitativ zu bestimmen ist, können nur speziell
angefertigte Proben angewendet werden, weil durch Proben, die aus emaillierten Gegenständen entnommen
werden, die Genauigkeit des Prüfverfahrens verringert werden kann.

Emaux vitrifiés - Production d'échantillons afin de soumettre à l'essai l'émail sur la tôle d'acier, la tôle d'aluminium et la fonte

La présente Norme européenne spécifie la méthode de production d’échantillons appropriés aux essais des revêtements vitrifiés et émaillés.
La présente norme distingue deux échantillons différents :
-   les échantillons prélevés sur un produit de série ; et
-   les échantillons fabriqués spécialement.
Lorsque la perte de masse par unité de surface du revêtement émaillé doit être déterminée quantitativement, seuls des échantillons fabriqués spécialement peuvent être utilisés. En effet, les échantillons prélevés sur des articles émaillés sont susceptibles de réduire la précision de la méthode d’essai.
