Electrical apparatus for use in the presence of combustible dust - Part 4: Type of protection "pD"

Gives requirements on the design, construction, testing and marking of electrical apparatus for use in combustible dust atmospheres in which a protective gas (air or inert gas), maintained at a pressure above that of the external atmosphere, is used to prevent the entry of dust which might otherwise lead to the formation of a combustible mixture within enclosures which do not contain a source of combustible dust.

Expose les exigences en matière de conception, de construction, d'essais et de marquage des appareils électriques destinés à être utilisés au sein d'atmosphères de poussières combustibles dans lesquelles un gaz protecteur (air ou gaz inerte), maintenu à une pression supérieure à celle de l'atmosphère extérieure, sert à empêcher la pénétration de poussière, qui conduirait, sans cette précaution, à la formation d'un mélange combustible à l'intérieur d'enceintes ne contenant pas elles-mêmes de source de poussière combustible.

Ta del IEC 61241 določa zahteve za zasnovo, izdelavo, preskušanje in označevanje električnih naprav, ki se uporabljajo v atmosferi z gorljivim prahom, v katerih se uporablja zaščitni plin (zrak ali inertni plin), ki vzdržuje tlak nad zunanjim atmosferskim, da prepreči vdor prahu, ki bi sicer lahko povzročil nastanek gorljive zmesi znotraj ohišij, ki ne vsebujejo vira gorljivega prahu. Ta standard vsebuje posebne zahteve za izdelavo in preskušanje, vključno z zahtevami zaščite električnih naprav z vrsto zaščite nadtlak "pD", namenjenih za uporabo v potencialnih gorljivih prašnih atmosferah. Foreword
The text of the International Standard IEC 61241-4:2001, prepared by SC 31H, Apparatus for
use in the presence of combustible dust, of IEC TC 31, Electrical apparatus for explosive
atmospheres, was submitted to the Unique Acceptance Procedure and was approved by
CENELEC as EN 61241-4 on 2006-04-01.
This European Standard is to be read in conjunction with EN 61241-0 as applicable to
“Equipment Group II, Categories 2D and 3D".
The following dates were fixed:
– latest date by which the EN has to be implemented
at national level by publication of an identical
national standard or by endorsement (dop) 2007-07-01
– latest date by which the national standards conflicting
with the EN have to be withdrawn (dow) 2009-04-01
This European Standard has been prepared under a mandate given to CENELEC by the
European Commission and the European Free Trade Association and covers essential
requirements of EC Directive 94/9/EC. See Annex ZZ.
Annexes ZA and ZZ have been added by CENELEC.

Standard SIST EN 61241-4 (sl), Električne naprave za uporabo v prisotnosti gorljivega prahu – 4. del:
Vrsta zaščite “pD” (IEC 61241-4:2001), 2007, ima status slovenskega standarda in je istoveten
evropskemu standardu EN 61241-4 (en), Electrical apparatus for use in the presence of combustible
dust – Part 4: Type of protection “pD” (IEC 61241-4:2001), 2006-12.

NACIONALNI PREDGOVOR

Evropski standard EN 61241-4:2006 je pripravil tehnični pododbor Mednarodne elektrotehniške
komisije IEC/SC 31H Električne naprave za uporabo v prisotnosti gorljivega prahu pri tehničnem
odboru IEC/TC 31 Električna oprema za eksplozivne atmosfere; po hitrem postopku ga je pozneje
potrdil tudi tehnični odbor Evropskega komiteja za standardizacijo v elektrotehniki CENELEC/TC 31
Električna oprema za eksplozijske atmosfere; splošna določila.
Slovenski standard SIST EN 61241-4:2007 je prevod evropskega standarda EN 61241-4:2006. V
primeru spora glede besedila slovenskega prevoda v tem standardu je odločilen izvirni evropski
standard v angleškem jeziku. Slovensko izdajo standarda je pripravil tehnični odbor SIST/TC EXP
Električni aparati za eksplozivne atmosfere.

Odločitev za privzem tega standarda je 15. februarja 2007 sprejel tehnični odbor SIST/TC EXP
Električni aparati za eksplozivne atmosfere.

ZVEZA Z NACIONALNIMI STANDARDI

S privzemom tega evropskega standarda veljajo za omenjeni namen referenčnih standardov vsi
