Ta evropski standard določa zahteve glede odpornosti proti požaru, preskusne metode in metode za ocenjevanje električnih kablov za oskrbo z električno energijo ter nadzor in komunikacijo, ki so namenjeni za uporabo v gradbenih objektih in morajo izpolnjevati zahteve za odpornost proti požaru. Kabli, ki jih obravnava ta standard, so namenjeni za oskrbo z električno energijo ter komunikacijo v stavbah in drugih gradbenih inženirskih objektih z namenom omejitve nastanka ognja in dima ter njunega širjenja. Kablov, namenjenih za oskrbo z električno energijo, komunikacijo ter odkrivanje in obveščanje v stavbah in drugih gradbenih inženirskih objektih, kjer je ključnega pomena zagotavljanje kontinuiranega dovajanja energije in/ali signalnega napajanja varnostnih naprav, kot so alarmi, usmerjevalci poti in naprave za gašenje požarov, ta standard ne zajema. OPOMBA Ta evropski standard ne nadomešča električnih, mehanskih in okoljskih zahtev, ki so ključnega pomena za dokazovanje skladnosti z drugimi veljavnimi standardi/specifikacijami za kable.
Ta evropski standard zajema:
– energetske kable, – izolirane vodnike in kable za uporabo npr. pri oskrbi z električno energijo;
– kable za nadzor in komunikacijo, – žice, simetrične kable in koaksialne kable s kovinskimi vodniki za uporabo pri npr. telekomunikacijah, prenosu podatkov, radiofrekvenčni, video komunikacijski ter signalni in nadzorni opremi;
– kable z optičnimi vlakni za uporabo npr. pri telekomunikacijah, prenosu podatkov, radiofrekvenčni, video komunikacijski ter signalni in nadzorni opremi.

NACIONALNI PREDGOVOR
Evropsko dopolnilo EN 50575:2014/A1:2016 je pripravil tehnični odbor CLC/TC 20 Električni kabli.
Slovensko dopolnilo SIST EN 50575:2014/A1:2016 je prevod evropskega dopolnila EN
50575:2014/A1:2016. V primeru spora glede besedila slovenskega prevoda v tem dopolnilu je odločilno

This amendment A1 modifies the European Standard EN 50575:2014; it was approved by CENELEC on 2016-03-24. CENELEC members
are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations which stipulate the conditions for giving this amendment the status of a
national standard without any alteration.
Up-to-date lists and bibliographical references concerning such national standards may be obtained on application to the CEN-CENELEC
Management Centre or to any CENELEC member.
This amendment exists in three official versions (English, French, German). A version in any other language made by translation under the
