BRIEF HISTORY
The IS0 Recommendation R 155, Limiting Values for the Adjustment of Centres for Trans-
mission Pulleys, was drawn up by Technical Committee ISO/TC 41, Pulleys and Belts (including
vee-belts), the Secretariat of which is held by the Association Française de Normalisation
(AFNOR).

was begun in 1956 by Working Group No. 2.
It was during its third meeting, held in Stockholm in June 1955, that the Technical Com-
mittee adopted a resolution upon which was based the development of the part of the IS0 Recorn-
mendation dealing with grooved pulleys. As for flat belt pulleys, it was during its fourth meeting,
held in Milan in June 1957, that the Technical Committee adopted a resolution upon which the
development of this part of the IS0 Recommendation was based.
A draft proposal was thereupon set up by the ISO/TC 41 Secretariat and circulated in

HISTORIQUE
La Recommandation ISO/R 155, Limites de rkglage d’entraxe des poulies de transmission,
a été élaborée par le Comité Technique ISO/TC 41, Poulies et courroies (y compris les courroies
trapézoïdales), dont le Secrétariat est assuré par l’Association Française de Normalisation
(AFNOR).
L’étude des limites de réglage d’entraxe pour les poulies à gorge fut entreprise dès 1954 par
le Groupe de Travail No 1. L’étude correspondante pour les poulies plates fut commencée en
1956 par le Groupe de Travail NO 2.
C’est lors de sa troisième réunion, tenue à Stockholm en juin 1955, que le Comité Tech-
d
nique adopta une résolution qui servit de base A l’élaboration de la partie de la Recommandation
IS0 relative aux poulies à gorge. En ce qui concerne les poulies plates, c’est au cours de sa qua-
trième réunion, tenue à Milan, en juin 1957, que le Comité Technique adopta une résolution qui
servit de base à l’élaboration de cette partie de la Recommandation ISO.
Un avant-projet fut alors établi par le Secrétariat d’ISO/TC 41 et diffust, en mars 1958, aux
membres du Comité Technique, qui l’adoptèrent à la majorité
