This European Standard specifies the required characteristics, inspections, tests, quality assurance requirements, conditions for qualification acceptance and delivery of quick release fastening systems.
This European Standard applies to all fastening systems for use in fuselage interior equipment and non-structural or secondary structural area.
It may be applied when referred to in the product standard or in a design specification.

• Fire/flammability: Silicone and other non‑metallic components must meet fire worthiness, smoke and toxicity limits as referenced to FAR/JAR/CS 25.853, EN 2826 and EN 3844‑2 (example limits: smoke density Dm ≤ 200; HCN ≤ 150 ppm; NO/NO2 ≤ 100 ppm; SO2/H2S ≤ 100 ppm; HF ≤ 100 ppm; HCl ≤ 150 ppm).
• Functionality & endurance: All plug/stud and clamp combinations must mate and withstand specified locking/unlocking cycle tests to assess wear.
• Identification & documentation: Product marking per EN 2424; each delivery must include conformance test results and FAI documentation.
• Quality system & qualification: Manufacturer approval requires EN ISO 9001 / EN 9100 (or equivalent). Qualification follows a Qualification Test Program (QTP) and Qualification Test Report (QTR) per EN 9133 / EN 9102.
• Sampling: Series production acceptance typically requires 5 test samples; qualification sample sizes specified in the standard.
