This document specifies the technical conditions of inspection and delivery, the mechanical properties, the tolerances on dimensions and form of rolled semi-finished aluminium alloy products intended for tanks for the storage and transportation of dangerous goods, in particular of gasoline and other liquid hydrocarbons.
It applies to hot or cold-rolled strip, sheet and plate with a thickness over 3,0 mm and up to and including 12,0 mm used as a wall material.
NOTE 1 Compliance with the present document does not ensure compliance with national or international regulations. The user of the document is responsible for checking that the material he orders or sells complies with all applicable regulations. Depending on the chemical and physical properties of the dangerous good to be transported or stored, it can be necessary to agree on additional properties or inspection conditions in order to comply with applying regulations.
NOTE 2 Some of the products listed in the present document can be subject to patent or patent applications, and their listing herein does not in any way imply the granting of a licence under such patent right.
CEN/TC 132 affirms it is policy that in the case when a patentee refuses to grant licenses on standardised standard products under reasonable and not discriminatory conditions, then this product shall be removed from the corresponding document.
Aluminium und Aluminiumlegierungen - Schweißbare Walzerzeugnisse für Tanks für Lagerung und Transport von Gefahrgut
Dieses Dokument legt die Technischen Lieferbedingungen, die mechanischen Eigenschaften, die Grenzabmaße und Formtoleranzen für gewalztes Halbzeug aus Aluminiumlegierungen fest, das für die Herstellung von Tanks zur Lagerung und zum Transport von Gefahrgut, speziell für Benzin und andere flüssige Kohlenwasserstoffe, vorgesehen ist.
Es gilt für warm- oder kaltgewalzte Bänder, Bleche und Platten mit einer Dicke über 3,0 mm bis 12,0 mm, die als Wandmaterial eingesetzt werden.
ANMERKUNG 1 Die Übereinstimmung mit dem vorliegenden Dokument garantiert nicht die Übereinstimmung mit nationalen oder internationalen Vorschriften. Le présent document spécifie les conditions techniques de contrôle et de livraison, les caractéristiques mécaniques, les tolérances de dimension et de forme des produits semi-finis laminés en alliages d'aluminium pour réservoirs de stockage et de transport de matieres dangereuses, en particulier l'essence et autres hydrocarbures liquides.
Il s'applique aux tôles minces, bandes et tôles épaisses laminées a froid ou a chaud, d'une épaisseur de plus de 3,0 mm mais ne dépassant pas 12,0 mm, utilisées comme matériau d'enveloppe.
NOTE 1 La conformité au présent document ne confere pas conformité aux réglementations nationales ou internationales. L'utilisateur de ce document est responsable de vérifier que le matériau qu'il commande est conforme a toutes les réglementations applicables. La politique affirmée du CEN/TC 132 est que si celui qui détient le brevet refuse d'accorder la licence pour des produits normalisés dans des conditions normales et non discriminatoires, les produits correspondants seront retirés du document.

EN 14286:2004 (E) 3 Foreword This document (EN 14286:2004) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 132 “Aluminium and aluminium alloys”, the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by January 2005, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by January 2005. Within its programme of work, Technical Committee CEN/TC 132 has entrusted CEN/TC 132 / WG 7 "Sheets, strips and plates" to prepare the following document: EN 14286, Aluminium and aluminium alloys – Weldable rolled products for tanks for the storage and transportation of dangerous goods. EN 14286:2004 (E) 4 Introduction It is essential that aluminium alloy semi-finished rolled products intended for the construction of tanks for the storage and transportation of dangerous goods satisfy a certain number of specific technical conditions for inspection and delivery as well as specific mechanical and other properties which distinguish them from similar semi-finished products for general applications.
