Couplers, spigot pins and baseplates for use in falsework and scaffolds - Part 3: Plain base plates and spigot pins - Requirements and test procedures

EN 74-3 specifies for non adjustable base plates and loose spigots to be used with 48,3 mm diameter tubes in scaffolds and falsework:
-   materials;
-   design requirements;
-   test procedure;
-   assessment.
A base plate with a means of limited vertical adjustment, called a "base jack", is dealt with in EN 12811 1.
NOTE   In the text of this standard, the term "loose spigot" is used instead of the "spigot pin" in the title.

Kupplungen, Zentrierbolzen und Fußplatten für Arbeitsgerüste und Traggerüste - Teil 3: Ebene Fußplatten und Zentrierbolzen - Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren

EN 74-3 legt für ebene und profilierte Fußplatten sowie für Stoßbolzen Zentrierbolzen zur Anwendung in Arbeits  und Traggerüsten aus Rohren mit einem Durchmesser von 48,3 mm  mm fest:
   die Werkstoffe;
   die konstruktiven Anforderungen;
   die Versuchsdurchführungen;
   die Beurteilung.
Eine Fußplatte mit einer Vorrichtung zur Höhenverstellung, " Fußspindel"  genannt, wird in EN EN 12811 -1 behandelt.

La présente Norme européenne prescrit les exigences relatives aux semelles simples et profilées et aux goujons libres utilisés dans les échafaudages de service et d’étaiement à tubes de 48,3 mm de diamètre :
   matériaux ;
   exigences de conception ;
   modes opératoires d’essai ;
   évaluation.
Les semelles à réglage vertical, désignées « socles réglables », sont traitées dans l’EN 12811-1.
NOTE   Dans le texte de cette norme, le terme « goujon libre » est utilisé à la place de « goujon ».

This document (EN 74-3:2007) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 53 “Temporary works

equipment”, the secretariat of which is held by DIN.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical

text or by endorsement, at the latest by October 2007, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at

the latest by October 2007.
This document together with EN 74-1:2005 supersedes EN 74:1988.

1 Scope

EN 74-3 specifies for plain and profiled base plates and loose spigots to be used with 48,3 mm diameter tubes

in scaffolds and falsework:

 test procedure;
 assessment.
