This part of IEC 60684 gives the requirements for non-heat-shrinkable sleeving, extruded from compounds based on polychloroprene elastomer.This sleeving has been found suitable for temperatures up to 95 ?C. Sleeving of this type is normally available with internal diameters up to 25 mm, and in the following opaque colours: black, brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, grey, white and pink. Sizes or colours other than those specifically listed in this standard may be available as custom items. These items shall be considered to comply with this standard if they comply with the other property requirements listed in Table 2. Materials which conform to this specification meet established levels of performance. However, the selection of a material by a user for a specific application should be based on the actual requirements necessary for adequate performance in the application and not based on the specification alone.

La CEI 60684-3-116:2010 donne les exigences relatives aux gaines non thermorétractables, extrudées à partir de composés à base d'élastomère polychloroprène. Ces gaines conviennent pour des températures jusqu'à 95 °C. Les gaines de ce type sont généralement proposées avec des diamètres intérieurs allant jusqu'à 25 mm et dans les couleurs opaques suivantes: noir, brun, rouge, orange, jaune, vert, bleu, violet, gris, blanc et rose. D'autres dimensions et d'autres couleurs que celles spécifiquement indiquées dans cette norme peuvent être proposées comme articles spéciaux. Cette édition contient quatre exigences supplémentaires: - propagation des ruptures; - extension en circonférence; - tension de tenue et choc thermique.

Ta del IEC 60684 podaja zahteve za toplotno neskrčljive cevi, ekstrudirane iz spojin na osnovi polikloroprenskega elastomera. Take cevi so dokazano primerne za temperature do 95 °C. Tovrstne cevi so običajno na voljo z notranjim premerom do 25 mm in v naslednjih neprozornih barvah: črna, rjava, rdeča, oranžna, rumena, zelena, modra, vijoličasta, siva, bela in rožnata. Velikosti ali barve, ki niso navedene v tem standardu, so lahko na voljo na zahtevo. Ti predmeti so skladni s tem standardom, če izpolnjujejo zahteve glede lastnosti, navedene v preglednici 2. Materiali, skladni s to specifikacijo, ustrezajo vzpostavljenim ravnem delovanja. Vendar mora uporabnik material za določeno uporabo izbrati na podlagi dejanskih zahtev za ustrezno delovanje pri taki uporabi, ne le na podlagi same specifikacije.

The text of document 15/560/FDIS, future edition 3 of IEC 60684-3-116, prepared by IEC TC 15 "Solid
electrical insulating materials" was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and approved by
CENELEC as EN 60684-3-116:2011.

This document supersedes EN 60684-3-116&117:2003.
