Specifications for particular types of winding wires - Part 12: Polyvinyl acetal enamelled round copper wire, class 120 (IEC 60317-12:2010)

This Part of IEC 60317 specifies the requirements of enamelled round copper winding wire of class 120 with a sole coating based on polyvinyl acetal resin, which may be modified providing it retains the chemical identity of the original resin and meets all specified wire requirements. NOTE A modified resin is a resin that has undergone a chemical change, or contains one or more additives to enhance certain performance or application characteristics. Class 120 is a thermal class that requires a minimum temperature index of 120 and a heat shock temperature of at least 155 °C. The temperature in degrees Celsius corresponding to the temperature index is not necessarily that at which it is recommended that the wire be operated and this will depend on many factors, including the type of equipment involved. The range of nominal conductor diameters covered by this standard is:
– Grade 1: 0,040 mm up to and including 2,500 mm;
– Grade 2: 0,040 mm up to and including 5,000 mm;
– Grade 3: 0,080 mm up to and including 5,000 mm.
The nominal conductor diameters are specified in Clause 4 of IEC 60317-0-1.

La CEI 60317-12:2010 concerne les fils de bobinage de section circulaire en cuivre émaillé de classe 120 avec un revêtement unique à base de résine acétal de polyvinyle qui peut être modifiée à condition qu'elle conserve l'identité chimique de la résine initiale et réponde à toutes les exigences du fil. Les modifications principales par rapport à l'édition précédente sont, de nouvelles exigences pour la détection des microfissures en immersion ont été ajoutées à l'Article 23.

Ta del IEC 60317 določa zahteve za emajliran okrogel bakren vodnik razreda 120 z enojnim premazom na osnovi polivinilacetalne smole, ki se lahko spremeni pod pogojem, da ohrani kemično identiteto originalne smole in izpolnjuje vse zahteve za vodnik. OPOMBA: Spremenjena smola je smola, ki je bila kemično spremenjena ali vsebuje enega ali več aditivov, ki izboljšujejo določene lastnosti delovanja ali uporabe. Razred 120 je toplotni razred, ki zahteva minimalni temperaturni indeks 120 in temperaturo toplotnega šoka vsaj 155 °C. Temperatura v stopinjah Celzija, ki ustreza temperaturnemu indeksu, ni nujno temperatura, priporočena za obratovanje vodnika, saj je to odvisno od številnih dejavnikov, vključno z vrsto vključene opreme. Razpon nominalnih premerov prevodnikov, ki jih zajema ta standard, je:
- Stopnja 1: 0,040 mm do vključno 2,500 mm;

The text of document 55/1178/FDIS, future edition 3 of IEC 60317-12, prepared by IEC TC 55, Winding

wires, was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and was approved by CENELEC as

EN 60317-12 on 2010-04-01.
This European Standard supersedes EN 60317-12:1994 + A1:1998 + A2:2005.
The main changes with respect to the previous edition are listed below:
– new pin hole test requirements in Clause 23 have been added.

Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of

patent rights. CEN and CENELEC shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent

rights.
The following dates were fixed:
