This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, instructions for use, marking and packaging for full body harnesses. Other types of body support are specified in EN 358. Fall arrest systems are specified in EN 363.   Note: A standard on rescue harnesses will be prepared by CEN/TC 160.

Diese Norm legt Anforderungen, Prüfverfahren, Gebrauchsanleitung, Kennzeichnung und Verpackung für Auffanggurte fest. Andere Arten von Haltevorrichtungen für den Körper sind in EN 358 und EN 359 spezifiziert. Auffangsysteme sind in EN 363 spezifiziert. Anmerkung: eine Norm für Rettungsgurte wird in CEN/TC 160 erstellt.

Equipement de protection individuelle contre les chutes de hauteur - Harnais d'antichute

La présente norme fixe les exigences, les méthodes d'essai, le mode d'emploi, le marquage et l'emballage des harnais d'antichute. D'autres types de dispositifs de préhension du corps sont spécifiés dans les EN 358 et EN 359. Les systemes d'arret des chutes sont spécifiés dans l'EN 363. Multi-user applications, i.e. rigid anchor lines that allow more than one user to be attached at any one time, are not addressed in this document.
