Industrial fans - Performance testing using standardized airways (ISO 5801:2007)

This European Standard deals with the determination of the performance of industrial fans of all types except those designed
solely for air circulation e.g. ceiling fans and table fans.
Estimates of uncertainty of measurement are provided and rules for the conversion, within specified limits, of test results for
changes in speed, gas handled and, in the case of model tests, size are given.

Diese Internationale Norm behandelt die Leistungsmessung von Ventilatoren aller Art, mit Ausnahme von Ventilatoren, die nur zur Luftumwälzung eingesetzt werden, wie z. B. Wand- oder Tischventilatoren.
Vorgesehen sind Abschätzungen zur Messunsicherheit, und es werden innerhalb festgelegter Grenzen Umrechnungsregeln für die Prüfergebnisse bei Drehzahländerungen, Veränderungen des geförderten Gases und, bei Modellversuchen, der Maße gegeben.

L'ISO 5801:2007 traite de la détermination des performances des ventilateurs industriels de tous types à l'exception de ceux uniquement conçus pour la circulation de l'air, par exemple les ventilateurs de plafond ou de table.
Des estimations de l'incertitude de mesure sont fournies et des règles pour la conversion, dans des limites spécifiées, des résultats d'essai liés aux variations de vitesse, au gaz transporté, et dans le cas d'essais sur maquette à la taille, sont spécifiées.

The text of ISO 5801:2007 including Cor 1:2008 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 117
“Industrial fans” of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN
ISO 5801:2008 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 156 “Ventilation for buildings” the secretariat of which is held
by BSI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by April 2009, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the
latest by April 2009.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
