Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Dicke von Textilien und Textilerzeugnissen unter festgelegtem Druck fest. Sie gilt nicht für textile Bodenbeläge, Vliesstoffe, Geotextilien und beschichtete Textilien, für die eigene Normen bestehen (siehe Anhang B).

Elle n'est pas applicable aux revêtements de sol textiles, aux nontissés, aux géotextiles et aux supports textiles revêtus pour lesquels il existe des normes spécifiques (voir annexe B).

Foreword
IS0 (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide
federation of national standards bodies (IS0 member bodies). The work
of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through IS0

which a technical committee has been established has the right to be
