EN 15422:2008 is a CEN (European) standard specifying requirements for alkali-resistant (AR) glassfibres used to reinforce mortars and concretes for non‑structural precast concrete products.   • End count (roving): ±20% from nominal.
  • Loss on ignition (combustible matter): ±20% of nominal or ±0.3% (whichever greater), upper limit 3% by weight (ISO 1887).
  • Strength retention (SIC test, EN 14649): Category A ≥250 MPa; Category B ≥350 MPa. Declared value shall be the characteristic (5% fractile).
• Testing & traceability: strength retention is measured per EN 14649 (SIC test); most tests are specialized and typically performed by manufacturers or accredited labs. Traceability between delivered product and manufacturing records is required. Independent validation of SIC performance is recommended.
