Avalanche beacons - Transmitter/Receiver systems - Safety requirements and testing

This Standard is applicable to systems used for searching for and/or finding of avalance hidden persons, this means for direct rescue. These systems are denominated as avalanche beacons and shall comprise a transmitter as well as a receiver part. This Standard distinguishes between 2 types of beacons: type 1: single frequency beacons (457 kHz); type 2: double frequency beacons (2,275 kHz and 457 kHz) temporary type, compatible to beacons with frequency 2,275 kHz. It is the purpose of this standard to ensure the practical interoperability of products from different manufacturers and their reliability.

Diese Norm gilt für Geräte, die der Suche und/oder Auffindung von lawinenverschütteten Personen, d.h. vorrangig zur Kameradenrettung, dienen. Diese Geräte werden als Lawinenverschütteten-Suchgeräte bezeichnet (im folgenden kurz VS-Geräte genannt) und müssen sowohl einen Sender als auch einen Empfangsteil aufweisen. Diese Norm unterscheidet zwei Typen von VS-Geräten: - Typ 1: Geräte mit nur einer Frequenz (457 kHz), Typ 2: Geräte mit zwei Frequenzen (2,275 kHz und 457 kHz) Übergangstyp zu Geräten der Frequenz 2,275 kHz kompatibel.

Appareil de recherche de victimes d'avalanche (A.R.V.A.) - Exigences de sécurité et essais

La présente norme est applicable aux systèmes utilisés pour la recherche et/ou la détection de victimes d'avalanche, c'est-à-dire pour les sauvetages directs. Ces systèmes sont distingués comme appareils de recherche de victimes d'avalanche (A.R.V.A) et doivent comprendre un émetteur ainsi qu'un récepteur. La présente norme distingue deux types d'A.R.V.A: - type 1: appareils à une seule fréquence (457 kHz), type 2: appareils à deux fréquences (2,275 kHz et 457 kHz) type transitoire, compatible aux appareils avec fréquence 2,275 kHz.
