This document specifies the performance requirements to establish nominal loads for new flat pallets.
It also specifies the tests required for new flat pallets in various handling environments and the performance requirements for tests with payloads. This document does not apply to pallets with a fixed superstructure or a rigid, self-supporting container that can be mechanically attached to the pallet and which contributes to the strength of the pallet.

Außerdem wird festgelegt, welche Prüfungen für neue Flachpaletten bei verschiedenen Handhabungen erforderlich sind und welche Leistungsanforderungen in Prüfungen mit Auflasten zu erreichen sind. Dieses Dokument gilt nicht für Paletten mit festem Aufbau oder für formstabile, selbsttragende Behälter, die mechanisch an den Paletten befestigt werden können und zur Festigkeit der Paletten beitragen.

Le présent document spécifie les exigences de performance permettant d’établir les charges nominales pour des palettes plates neuves.
Il spécifie également les essais nécessaires pour des palettes plates neuves dans diverses conditions de manutention et les exigences de performance pour des essais avec charges utiles. Le présent document ne s’étend pas aux palettes à superstructure fixe ou à conteneur autoportant rigide pouvant être fixés mécaniquement à la palette et contribuant à sa résistance.

Ta dokument določa zahtevane lastnosti za določanje nazivne obremenitve za nove ravne palete. Določa tudi zahtevane preskuse za nove ravne palete v različnih delovnih okoljih in zahtevane lastnosti za preskuse z obremenitvijo. Ta dokument se ne uporablja za palete s fiksno nadgradnjo ali za trdne, samonosilne posode, ki se lahko mehanično pritrdijo na paleto in pripomorejo k trdnosti palete.

This document (EN ISO 8611-2:2022) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 51 "Pallets
for unit load method of materials handling" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 261
“Packaging” the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by July 2022, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by July 2022.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 8611-2:2012.
