ISO 17634:2015 specifies requirements for classification of tubular cored electrodes used in the post-weld heat-treated condition for gas shielded metal arc welding of creep-resisting and low alloy elevated temperature steels. One tubular cored electrode can be tested and classified with different shielding gases. It is a combined specification providing for classification utilizing a system based upon the chemical composition of all-weld metal or utilizing a system based upon the tensile strength and the chemical composition of all-weld metal.

L'ISO 17634:2015 spécifie les exigences relatives à la classification des fils-électrodes fourrés pour soudage à l'arc avec électrode fusible sous protection gazeuse, pour l'état traité thermiquement après soudage, des aciers résistant au fluage et des aciers faiblement alliés pour usage à température élevée. Un fil-électrode fourré peut, le cas échéant, être essayé et classifié avec différents gaz de protection. Elle propose une spécification mixte permettant une classification utilisant un système basé sur la composition chimique du métal fondu hors dilution ou utilisant un système basé sur la résistance à la traction et la composition chimique du métal fondu hors dilution.

Ta mednarodni standard določa zahteve za razvrščanje strženskih žic iz cevi, ki se uporabljajo v stanju po varjenju s toplotno obdelavo pri obločnem varjenju jekel, odpornih proti lezenju, in nizko legiranih jekel pri povišanih temperaturah v zaščitnem plinu. Eno stržensko žico iz cevi je mogoče preskušati in razvrstiti v različnih zaščitnih plinih.
Ta mednarodni standard je kombinirana specifikacija, ki določa razvrstitev po sistemu na osnovi kemijske sestave čistih varov ali po sistemu na osnovi natezne trdnosti in kemijske sestave čistih varov.
1) Odstavki in preglednice z dodano črko »A« se uporabljajo samo za strženske žice iz cevi, ki so razvrščene po sistemu, ki temelji na kemijski sestavi z zahtevami za mejo prožnosti in povprečno energijo udarca, ki znaša 47 J, za čiste vare, v skladu s tem mednarodnim standardom.
2) Odstavki in preglednice z dodano črko »B« se uporabljajo samo za strženske žice iz cevi, ki so razvrščene po sistemu, ki temelji na natezni trdnosti čistih varov in kemijski sestavi čistih varov v skladu s tem mednarodnim standardom.
3) Odstavki in preglednice brez dodane črke »A« ali »B« se uporabljajo za vse strženske žice iz cevi, ki so razvrščene v skladu s tem mednarodnim standardom.
Ugotovljeno je, da se lahko obratovalne značilnosti strženskih žic iz cevi spremenijo z uporabo
udarnega toka, toda za namene tega mednarodnega standarda se udarni tok ne uporablja za določanje razvrstitve žice.

This document (EN ISO 17634:2015) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 44 "Welding and
allied processes" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 121 “Welding and allied processes” the
secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by February 2016, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn
at the latest by February 2016.
