Paints, varnishes and raw materials for paints and varnishes - Sampling (ISO 15528:2020)
This document specifies procedures for the sampling of paints and varnishes, including coating powders, and raw materials used in their manufacture. Such products include liquids and materials which, without undergoing chemical modification, are capable of being liquefied when heated up, and powdered, granulated and pasty materials. Samples can be taken from containers, for example cans, drums, tanks, tank wagons or ships' tanks, as well as from barrels, sacks, big-bags, silos or silo wagons or conveyor belts.
This document does not deal with the sample preparation for testing or reduction of the samples thus taken, which is dealt with in ISO 1513.

Dieses Dokument legt Verfahren zur Probenahme von Beschichtungsstoffen einschließlich Pulverlacken und Rohstoffen, die zu ihrer Herstellung verwendet werden, fest. Eingeschlossen sind Flüssigkeiten und solche Produkte, die sich beim Erhitzen verflüssigen, ohne sich chemisch zu verändern, sowie pulverisierte, granulierte und pastenförmige Produkte. Proben können aus Behältern, z. B. Dosen, Trommeln, Tanks, Kesselwagen oder Schiffskammern sowie Fässern, Säcken, Big Bags, Silos oder Silofahrzeugen oder von Förderbändern genommen werden.
Dieses Dokument behandelt nicht die Probenvorbereitung und Einengung von auf diese Weise erhaltenen Proben, die in ISO 1513 behandelt werden.

Le présent document spécifie des modes opératoires pour l'échantillonnage des peintures et des vernis, y compris des poudres pour revêtement, et des matières premières pour peintures, vernis et poudres pour revêtement utilisés dans leur fabrication. Ces produits comprennent les produits liquides et les produits qui, sans subir de modification chimique, peuvent se liquéfier lorsqu'ils sont chauffés, ainsi que les produits sous forme de poudre, de granulés ou de pâte. Les échantillons peuvent être prélevés dans des récipients comme par exemple des bidons, des fûts, des réservoirs, des wagons-citernes ou des réservoirs de navire, ainsi que dans des tonneaux, des sacs, des grands sacs, des silos ou des wagons silos, ou sur des bandes transporteuses.
Le présent document ne traite pas de la préparation des échantillons pour essais ou de la réduction des échantillons ainsi prélevés, qui est traitée dans l'ISO 1513.

This document (EN ISO 15528:2020) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 35 "Paints and
varnishes" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 139 “Paints and varnishes” the
secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by March 2021, and conflicting national standards shall
be withdrawn at the latest by March 2021.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 15528:2013.
According to the CEN-CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the
