Respiratory protective devices - Compressed air line breathing devices with demand valve - Part 1: Devices with a full face mask - Requirements, testing and marking

This document specifies minimum requirements for compressed air line breathing devices with demand valve for use with a full face mask as a respiratory protective device (RPD).
Diving RPD are not covered by this document.
RPD used in abrasive blasting operations without additional protective features are not covered by this document.
Escape RPD, although certain requirements addressing the use in conjunction with escape RPD and escape conditions are given, are not covered by this document.
Laboratory and practical performance tests are included for the assessment of conformance to the requirements.

Fluchtgeräte, obwohl gewisse Anforderungen für den Gebrauch in Verbindung mit Fluchtgeräten und für Fluchtbedingungen angegeben werden, sind von diesem Dokument nicht abgedeckt.

Le présent document spécifie les caractéristiques minimales exigées des appareils de protection respiratoire isolants à adduction d’air comprimé avec soupape à la demande et masque complet utilisés comme appareils de protection respiratoire (APR). Les APR destinés à l’évacuation, à la plongée et ceux utilisés dans les opérations de projection d’abrasifs sans dispositifs de protection supplémentaires ne sont pas couverts par la présente partie de l’EN 14593, bien que certaines exigences relatives à l’utilisation d’APR conjointement avec l’appareil d’évacuation et les conditions d’évacuation soient indiquées.
Il comporte des essais en laboratoire et des essais pratiques de performance pour évaluer la conformité aux exigences.

Ta dokument določa minimalne zahteve za dihalne aparate na stisnjeni zrak z ventilom, ki so namenjeni za uporabo z obrazno masko in tvorijo opremo za varovanje dihal (RPD). Ta del standarda EN 14593 ne zajema opreme za varovanje dihal za izhod v sili ali potapljanje brez dodatnih zaščitnih funkcij, ki se uporablja pri peskanju, podaja pa določene zahteve glede uporabe skupaj z opremo za varovanje dihal za izhod v sili in pogoje za izhod v sili.
Vključeni so tudi laboratorijski in praktični preskusi učinkovitosti za ocenjevanje skladnosti z zahtevami.
