Respiratory protective devices - Self-contained open-circuit compressed air breathing apparatus with full face mask - Requirements, testing, marking

This European Standard specifies minimum performance requirements for self-contained open-circuit compressed air breathing apparatus with full face mask used as respiratory protective devices, except escape apparatus and diving apparatus.
Such equipment is intended for use in work situations where the risk on over pressurisation of the pressure vessels with their valves due to hot environmental conditions is low.
Laboratory and practical performance tests are included for the assessment of compliance with the requirements.

Diese Europäische Norm legt Mindestleistungsanforderungen für Behältergeräte mit Druckluft (Pressluftatmer) mit Vollmaske als Atemschutzgeräte außer als Fluchtgerät und Tauchgerät fest.
Solche Ausrüstung ist zum Einsatz bei Arbeitssituationen vorgesehen, bei denen die Gefahr der Druckerhöhung in den Druckbehältern mit ihren Ventilen durch heiße Umgebungsbedingungen gering ist.
Laborprüfungen und praktische Leistungsprüfungen sind zum Beurteilen der Übereinstimmung mit den Anforderungen enthalten.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les exigences minimales de performance applicables aux appareils
respiratoires autonomes à circuit ouvert, à air comprimé avec masque complet utilisés comme appareils de
protection respiratoire, à l’exception des appareils conçus pour l’évacuation ou la plongée.
Ces équipements sont destinés à être utilisés dans des situations de travail présentant un faible risque de
surpressurisation des bouteilles d’air comprimé équipées de leurs robinets, dû à des conditions
environnementales chaudes.
Elle contient des essais pratiques de performance et des essais en laboratoire pour s’assurer de la conformité
avec les exigences.
