Specification and qualification of welding procedures for metallic materials - Welding procedure specification - Part 4: Laser beam welding (ISO 15609-4:2009)

ISO 15609-4:2009 specifies requirements for the content of the welding procedure specification (WPS) for laser beam welding processes, including overlay welding. It is not applicable to other processes for cladding (e.g. thermal spraying).
Variables listed in ISO 15609-4:2009 are those influencing the quality and properties of the welded joint.

Anforderung und Qualifizierung von Schweißverfahren für metallische Werkstoffe - Schweißanweisung - Teil 4: Laserstrahlschweißen (ISO 15609-4:2009)

Diese Internationale Norm legt die Anforderungen für den Inhalt von Schweißanweisungen für das Laserstrahlschweißen einschließlich Auftragschweißen fest. Andere Plattierungsverfahren (z. B. thermisches Spritzen) sind in dieser Norm nicht enthalten.
Diese Norm ist Teil einer Normenreihe. ISO 15607:2003, Anhang A, gibt Einzelheiten dieser Normenreihe wieder.
In dieser Norm sind die veränderlichen Größen aufgeführt, die die Qualität und Eigenschaften der Schweißverbindung beeinflussen. Die in dieser Norm aufgeführten Maße beeinflussen die metallurgische und mechanische Qualität, die Geometrie des Formstücks und anderer wichtiger Leistungen.

L'ISO 15609-4:2009 spécifie les exigences relatives au contenu du descriptif du mode opératoire de soudage (DMOS) par faisceau laser, y compris le rechargement par soudage. Elle n'est pas applicable aux autres procédés de rechargement (par exemple à la projection thermique).
Les variables énumérées dans l'ISO 15609-4:2009 sont celles qui ont une influence sur la qualité et les caractéristiques du joint soudé.

This document (EN ISO 15609-4:2009) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 44 "Welding and
allied processes" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 121 “Welding” the secretariat of which is
held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by November 2009, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn
at the latest by November 2009.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 15609-4:2004.
