When using the calorimeter room method, pressure equilibrium between indoor and outdoor compartments
shall be obtained by introducing into indoor compartment, air at the same rating temperature conditions.

The pressure difference between the two compartments of the calorimeter room shall not be greater than
1,25 Pa. This pressure equilibrium can be achieved by using an equalising device or by creating an open space

temperature sensors shall be used to measure the temperature of the air from the outdoor compartment to
the indoor compartment
The external additional water supply on the evaporatively cooled condenser shall be set as specified in
6.2.2.

The article discusses the EN 15218:2022 standard, which provides terms, definitions, test conditions, test methods, and requirements for air conditioners and liquid chilling packages. Specifically, it focuses on units with electrically driven compressors and evaporatively cooled condensers for space cooling. The condenser is cooled by air and evaporation of external water supplied either through a water circuit or a water tank. The standard does not apply to air-to-air or air-to-water conditioners with a condenser cooled by air and water condensation. It is applicable to units with a water tank or continuous water circuit supply, but testing is limited to units with water feeding. The standard is also applicable to factory-made units that can be ducted, whether fixed or variable capacity. It covers packaged units, single split systems, and multisplit systems. For units consisting of multiple parts, the standard applies only to those supplied as a complete package. Units that can operate in heating mode are tested according to EN 14511:2022. Industrial process cooling units are not covered by this standard. Additionally, the standard specifies the conditions under which performance data is declared to comply with the Ecodesign Regulation 206/2012 and the Energy Labelling Regulation 626/2011 for air conditioners with evaporatively cooled condensers in cooling mode. The use of symbols in the document is language-neutral.
