This standard concerns the design considerations and essential principles for internal plastering systems and application of plastering systems.
The standard gives in different parts requirements and recommendations for building details, design and materials considerations, the selection of mixes and the application of gypsum plasters; gypsum/lime plasters; premixed lightweight plasters; anhydrite plasters; lime/gypsum; cement and cement/lime based plasters; lime based plasters, silicate plasters, polymer plasters and polymer modified plasters.
This standard does not deal with the following:
¾   external finishes;
¾   painting and or preparation;
¾   impregnations;
¾   structural repair of concrete;
¾   fibrous plasterwork
Because of the many and varied materials and practices in Europe it is not possible for certain aspects of the standard to enter into sufficient detail to be fully usable to practitioners in each country. Planung, Zubereitung und Ausführung von Innen- und Außenputzen - Teil 2: Planung und wesentliche Grundsätze für Innenputz

Diese Norm erfasst Überlegungen für die Planung und wesentliche Grundsätze für Innenputzsysteme sowie
für die Ausführung von Putzsystemen.
Diese Norm enthält in den einzelnen Abschnitten Anforderungen an und Empfehlungen für bauliche Details,
für die bei der Planung und der Auswahl der Werkstoffe anzustellenden Überlegungen, für die Auswahl von
Gemischen sowie für das Aufbringen von Gipsputz, Gipskalkputz, Fertigleichtputz, Anhydritputz, Putzen auf
Kalkgips-, Kalk-, Zement- und Kalkzementbasis sowie Silikatputz, Polymerputz und polymermodifizierten
Putz.
Diese Norm gilt nicht für:
- außen liegende Oberflächen;
- Anstriche und/oder ihre Vorbereitung;
- Imprägnierungen;
- die konstruktive Instandsetzung von Beton;
- Putzarbeiten mit Faserbewehrung.
Auf Grund der zahlreichen und unterschiedlichen Stoffe und Praktiken in Europa ist es nicht möglich, zu
bestimmten Punkten dieser Norm genügend Einzelheiten anzugeben, um die vollständige Verwendbarkeit
dieser Norm in jedem Land zu gewährleisten. Anleitungen zur Vervollständigung, nicht jedoch zur Änderung
der grundlegenden europäischen Empfehlungen, werden in Dokumentationen angegeben, die von den
einzelnen Ländern erstellt werden. Bestimmte Punkte dieser Europäischen Norm, deren grundlegende
Empfehlungen der Vervollständigung bedürfen, sind jeweils mit einer auf diesen Abschnitt verweisenden
