ISO 2063-2:2017 specifies requirements for corrosion protection of steel structures, components or parts, which are coated by thermal spraying of zinc, aluminium or their alloys.
ISO 2063-2:2017 specifies requirements for coating manufacturers of surface preparation, thermal spraying, testing and post treatments, e.g. sealing of the coating. ISO 2063-2:2017 applies to metallic corrosion protection coatings in the case of new fabrication in the workshop, as well as on-site and for repair on-site after assembly.
Requirements for coating thickness, minimum adhesive strength and surface conditions, specified in a coating specification, are given.
Recommendations are given for suitable process steps and quality assurance measures for new production and maintenance and for supervising of corrosion protection works.
ISO 2063-2:2017 covers the application of thermal-sprayed zinc, aluminium and their alloys for protection against corrosion in the temperature range between ?50 °C to +200 °C. Heat-resistant protective coatings of aluminium are covered by ISO 17834 and are not in the scope of ISO 2063-2:2017.
ISO 2063-2:2017 specifies requirements for the equipment, the working place and the qualification of the spray and testing personnel.
NOTE ISO 2063‑1:2017 is addressed to the designer and to the planning engineer of corrosion protection system.

Das vorliegende Dokument legt Anforderungen an den Korrosionsschutz von Stahlbauten, bauteilen oder teilen fest, die durch thermisches Spritzen von Zink, Aluminium oder deren Legierungen beschichtet werden.
Dieses Dokument legt Anforderungen an die Hersteller der Schicht hinsichtlich der Oberflächen-vorbereitung, des thermischen Spritzens, der Prüfung und Nachbehandlungen, z. B. Versiegeln der Schicht, fest. Dieses Dokument gilt für metallische Korrosionsschutzschichten bei Neufertigung sowohl in der Werkstatt als auch auf der Baustelle und für Reparaturen auf der Baustelle nach der Montage.
Anforderungen an die Schichtdicke, die Mindesthaftfestigkeit und die Oberflächenzustände, festgelegt in einer Schichtspezifikation, sind angeführt.
Es werden Empfehlungen für geeignete Prozessschritte und Maßnahmen zur Qualitätssicherung bei der Neufertigung und Instandsetzung und zur Überwachung von Korrosionsschutzarbeiten gegeben.
Dieses Dokument erfasst das Aufbringen von thermisch gespritztem Zink, Aluminium und deren Legierungen zum Schutz gegen Korrosion im Temperaturbereich zwischen ‒50 °C und +200 °C. Hitzebeständige Schutzschichten aus Aluminium werden in ISO 17834 behandelt und fallen nicht in den Anwendungsbereich dieses Dokuments.
Diese Norm legt Anforderungen an die Geräte, den Arbeitsplatz und die Qualifikation des Spritz und Prüfpersonals fest.
ANMERKUNG ISO 2063 1:2017 ist an den Konstrukteur und den Projektingenieur eines Korrosionsschutzsystems gerichtet.

Le présent document spécifie les exigences relatives à la protection contre la corrosion des structures, des composants ou des pièces en acier, revêtus par projection thermique de zinc, d'aluminium et d'alliages de ces métaux.
Le présent document spécifie les exigences applicables aux fabricants de revêtement en ce qui concerne la préparation de surface, la projection thermique, les essais et les traitements après projection thermique, par exemple, le colmatage du revêtement. Le présent document s'applique aux revêtements métalliques de protection contre la corrosion en cas de nouvelle fabrication en atelier ainsi que sur site et à la réparation sur site après assemblage.
Les exigences relatives à l'épaisseur du revêtement, à l'adhérence et aux états de surface, stipulées dans une spécification du revêtement, sont précisées.

Les revêtements de protection en aluminium résistant à la chaleur sont couverts par l'ISO 17834 et ne relèvent pas du domaine d'application du présent document.
Le présent document spécifie les exigences relatives aux équipements, au lieu de travail ainsi qu'à la qualification du personnel chargé de l'application des revêtements et de la réalisation des essais.

Ta dokument določa zahteve za korozijsko zaščito jeklenih konstrukcij, komponent ali
delov, ki so prevlečeni z vroče brizgano prevleko iz cinka, aluminija ali njune zlitine.
Ta dokument določa zahteve za proizvajalce prevlek v zvezi s površinsko pripravo, vročim
brizganjem, preskušanjem in naknadno obdelavo (npr. tesnjenje prevleke). Ta dokument se uporablja za kovinske
prevleke za korozijsko zaščito v primeru nove izdelave v delavnici in na mestu uporabe ter za popravilo na mestu uporabe po namestitvi.
Podane so zahteve glede debeline prevleke, najmanjše sprijemne trdnosti in stanja površine, ki so navedene v specifikaciji prevleke.

This document (EN ISO 2063-2:2017) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 107 “Metallic
and other inorganic coatings” in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 240 “Thermal
spraying and thermally sprayed coatings” the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by April 2018, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by April 2018.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 2063:2005.
