Aircraft ground support equipment - Specific requirements - Part 2: Catering vehicles
This European Standard specifies the technical requirements to minimise the hazards listed in clause 4 which can arise during the commissioning, the operation and the maintenance of catering vehicles when carried out in accordance with the specifications given by the manufacturer or his authorised representative. It also takes into account some requirements recognised as essential by authorities, aircraft and ground support equipment (GSE) manufacturers as well as airlines and handling agencies.
This standard applies to self-propelled catering vehicles, with seated driver, equipped with a liftable van body.
Examples of catering vehicles are shown in annex A. Vehicles of a similar design within the load limits of this standard used as GSE for other purposes e.g. cleaning equipment, exchange of aircraft seats, are also covered by this European Standard.
This standard does not apply to pneumatic systems.
This standard does not establish requirements for hazards caused by noise and vibration.
This Part of EN 12312 is not applicable to catering vehicles which are manufactured before the date of publication of this standard by CEN.
This part of EN 12312 is intended to be used in conjunction with EN 1915-1, EN 1915-2, EN 1915-3 (for vehicles) and EN 1915-4.
Noise is dealt with in EN 1915-4.
Luftfahrt-Bodengeräte - Besondere Anforderungen - Teil 2: Catering-Hubfahrzeuge
Diese Europäische Norm legt die technischen Anforderungen zur Minimierung der in Abschnitt 4 aufgelisteten
Gefährdungen fest, die bei Inbetriebnahme, Betrieb und Wartung von Catering-Hubfahrzeugen auftreten
können, wenn diese in Übereinstimmung mit den Anweisungen des Herstellers oder seines Beauftragten
ausgeführt werden. Sie berücksichtigt auch einige Anforderungen, die von offiziellen Stellen, Luftfahrzeugund
Bodengeräteherstellern sowie Luftverkehrs- und Abfertigungsgesellschaften als wesentlich erachtet
wurden.
Diese Norm gilt für selbstfahrende Catering-Hubfahrzeuge mit Fahrerplatz und anhebbarem Kofferaufbau.
Beispiele für Catering-Hubfahrzeuge sind in Anhang A enthalten. Fahrzeuge gleichartiger Konstruktion, die
innerhalb der Belastungsgrenzen dieser Norm liegen und als Bodengeräte für andere Zwecke eingesetzt
werden, z. B. für die Kabinenreinigung oder zum Sitzwechsel, sind ebenfalls von dieser Norm erfasst.
Diese Norm gilt nicht für pneumatische Systeme.
Diese Norm enthält keine Festlegungen für Gefährdungen, die durch Lärm und Vibration verursacht werden.
Dieser Teil von EN 12312 gilt nicht für Catering-Hubfahrzeuge, die vor der Veröffentlichung dieser Norm durch
CEN hergestellt wurden.

Luftfahrt-Bodengeräte - Besondere Anforderungen - Teil 2: Catering-Hubfahrzeuge This European Standard was approved by CEN on 30 May 2002 and includes Amendment 1 approved by CEN on 1 March 2009.
