Geotextiles and geotextile-related products - Screening test method for determining the resistance to oxidation (ISO 13438:2004)

ISO 13438:2004 specifies a screening test method for determining the resistance of geotextiles and geotextile-related products to oxidation. The test is applicable to polypropylene- and polyethylene-based products.
The data are suitable for screening purposes but not for deriving performance data such as lifetime unless supported by further evidence.

Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Auswahlprüfverfahren zur Bestimmung der Oxidationsbeständigkeit von Geokunststoffen und mit Geokunststoffen verwandten Produkten fest. Die Prüfung ist auf Produkte aus Polypropylen und Polyethylen anwendbar.
Die Daten eignen sich für Auswahlzwecke, jedoch nicht zur Ableitung von Leistungskennwerten, wie Lebensdauer, falls sie nicht durch weitere Untersuchungsergebnisse gestützt werden

L'ISO 13438:2004 spécifie une méthode de détermination de la résistance à l'oxydation des géotextiles et des produits apparentés. L'essai est applicable aux produits à base de polypropylène et de polyéthylène.
Les données de l'essai conviennent en vue d'une différenciation et non pour l'évaluation de performances telles que la durée de vie sauf preuves supplémentaires.

This document (EN ISO 13438:2004) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 189
"Geosynthetics", the secretariat of which is held by BSI, in collaboration with Technical
Committee ISO/TC 221 "Geosynthetics".

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by May 2005, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by May 2005.

This document supersedes ENV ISO 13438:1999.

According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the
