This standard applies to short wave broadcast transmitters operating in the frequency range 3 MHz to 30 MHz. The object of this standard is to demonstrate the compliance of such equipment with the basic restrictions (directly or indirectly via compliance with reference levels) related to public human exposure to radio frequency electromagnetic fields.

Diese Europäische Norm gilt für Kurzwellen-Rundfunksender und -anlagen, die im Frequenzbereich 3 MHz bis 30 MHz betrieben werden. Zweck dieser Norm ist, für diese Einrichtungen die Übereinstimmung mit den in Bezug auf die Sicherheit von Personen in hochfrequenten elektromagnetischen Feldern in öffentlichen Bereichen festgelegten Basisgrenzwerten (direkt oder indirekt durch die Einhaltung von Referenzwerten) nachzuweisen.

Cette norme s’applique aux émetteurs d’ondes courtes de radiodiffusion fonctionnant dans la gamme de fréquence de 3 MHz à 30 MHz. L’objet de la présente norme est de démontrer la conformité de tels équipements aux restrictions de base (directement ou indirectement via la conformité aux niveaux de référence) liées à l'exposition du public aux champs électromagnétiques de radiofréquence.
