BRIEF HISTORY
The IS0 Recomnienda tion R 337, Semi-Trailer F$th Wheel Kingpin, was drawn up by
Technical Committee ISO/TC 22, Automobiles, the Secretariat of which is held by the
Association Française de Normalisation (AFNOR).
Work on this question by the Technical Committee began in 1958 and led, in 1960,
to the adoption of a Draft IS0 Recommendation.
In April 1961, this Draft IS0 Recommendation (No. 444) was circulated to all the
IS0 Member Bodies for enquiry. It was approved by the following Member Bodies:

HISTORIQUE
La Recommandation ISO/R 337, Pivot d’attelage pour semi-remorque, a été élaborée
par le Comité Technique ISO/TC 22, Automobile, dont le Secrétariat est assuré par 1’Asso-
ciation Française de Normalisation (AFNOR).
Les travaux relatifs à cette question furent entrepris par le Comité Technique en 1958
et aboutirent en 1960 à l’adoption d’un Projet de Recommandation ISO.
En avril 1961, ce Projet de Recommandation IS0 (No 444) fut soumis à l’enquête de
tous les Comités Membres de 1’ISO. I1 fut approuvé par les Comités Membres suivants:
