Steel wire and wire products for fences — Zinc- and zinc-alloy-coated steel barbed wire

ISO 7900:2006 specifies the characteristics of zinc- and zinc-alloy-coated steel barbed wire, with conventional and reverse twist consisting of two stranded line wires, around which the barbs are tightly wound, a twist being imparted between the barbs to restrict their movement. The barbed-wire entanglement has a single line wire, around which the barbs are wound.

Предисловие
Международная организация по стандартизации (ISO) является всемирной федерацией национальных
организаций по стандартизации (комитетов-членов ISO). Разработка международных стандартов
обычно осуществляется техническими комитетами ISO. Каждый комитет-член, заинтересованный в

1 Область применения
Настоящий международный стандарт определяет характеристики стальной колючей проволоки,
покрытой цинком или сплавом цинка, с простой или обратной скруткой, состоящей из двух стандартных
стальных проволочных нитей, вокруг которых плотно навиваются узлы-шипы. При этом скручивание
передается между узлами-шипами, чтобы ограничивать их перемещение. Спиральный барьер колючей
проволоки имеет однорядную проволочную нить, вокруг которой накручены узлы-шипы из кусков
проволоки

3 Информация от заказчика
Следующие требования должен определять заказчик на этапе запроса или оформления заказа:
a) номер настоящего международного стандарта;
b) количество;
c) тип колючей проволоки;
d) тип покрытия;
e) разнос между колючками;
f) длина на барабанах;
g) в случае спирального барьера колючей проволоки (BWE), тип чистовой обработки;
h) есть ли необходимость измерения однородности покрытия;
i) требования к документам контроля;

4 Производство
4.1 Основной металл
Основой для колючей проволоки должна быть стальная проволока хорошего коммерческого качества,
имеющей свойства, заданные в Таблице 1.

Foreword
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies
(ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO
technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been
established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and
non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the International
Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization.
International Standards are drafted in accordance with the rules given in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 2.
The main task of technical committees is to prepare International Standards. Draft International Standards
adopted by the technical committees are circulated to the member bodies for voting. Publication as an

1Scope
This International Standard specifies the characteristics of zinc- and zinc-alloy-coated steel barbed wire, with

3 Information to be supplied by the purchaser
The following information shall be supplied by the purchaser at the time of inquiry or order:
a) the number of this International Standard;
b) quantity;
c) type of barbed wire;
d) coating type;
e) barb spacing;
f) length on reels;
g) in the case of barbed-wire entanglement (BWE), the type of finish;
h) whether the uniformity of coating is to be measured;
i) inspection documentation requirements;
j) agreed quality characteristics for testing (see Clause 6).

4 Manufacture
4.1 Base metal
The base metal of the barbed wire shall be of a good-commercial-quality steel wire, having the properties
specified in Table 1.
