La présente norme spécifie une méthode d'essai d'étanchéité des assemblages de canalisations en poly(chlorure de vinyle) non plastifié (PVC-U) par emboitures à bague d'étanchéité en élastomère comprenant:- des emboitures simples de tubes;- des manchons doubles;- des emboitures de raccords.Elle est également applicable aux emboitures à bague d'étanchéité en élastomère réalisées en fonte ductile, à utiliser avec les canalisations avec pression en PVC-U.

Foreword
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies (ISO
member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO technical
committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has
the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in
liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical
Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization.
International Standards are drafted in accordance with the rules given in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 3.
Draft International Standards adopted by the technical committees are circulated to the member bodies for voting.
Publication as an International Standard requires approval by at least 75 % of member bodies casting a vote.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this International Standard may be the subject of

International Standard ISO 13845 was prepared by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) in
collaboration with ISO Technical Committee TC 138, Plastics pipes, fittings and valves for the transport of fluids,
Subcommittee SC 2, Plastics pipes and fittings for water supplies, in accordance with the Agreement on technical
cooperation between ISO and CEN (Vienna Agreement).
Throughout the text of this standard, read ".this European Standard." to mean ".this International Standard.".

Foreword
The text of EN ISO 13845:2000 has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 155 "Plastics piping systems
and ducting systems ", the secretariat of which is held by NNI, in collaboration with Technical Committee ISO/TC
138 "Plastics pipes, fittings and valves for the transport of fluids".
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or
by endorsement, at the latest by October 2000, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest
by October 2000.
According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the following
countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland,
France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden,
Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
This standard is based on a new working draft, prepared by the International Organization for Standardization
(ISO). It is recast of the text concerned (ISO/TC138/SC2/N673 revised) without modification of the technical
content.
The material-dependent parameters and/or performance requirements are incorporated in the System Standard(s)
concerned.
This standard is one of a series of standards on test methods which support System Standards for plastics piping
systems and ducting systems.

L'ISO (Organisation internationale de normalisation) est une fédération mondiale d'organismes nationaux de

Avant-propos
Le texte de l’EN ISO 13845:2000 a été élaboré par le Comité Technique CEN/TC 155 "Systèmes de canalisations
et de gaines en plastiques" dont le secrétariat est tenu par le NNI, en collaboration avec le Comité Technique
ISO/TC 138 "Tubes, raccords et robinetterie en matières plastiques pour le transport des fluides".
Cette norme européenne devra recevoir le statut de norme nationale, soit par publication d'un texte identique, soit
par entérinement, au plus tard en octobre 2000, et toutes les normes nationales en contradiction devront être
retirées au plus tard en octobre 2000.
Selon le Règlement Intérieur du CEN/CENELEC, les instituts de normalisation nationaux des pays suivants sont
tenus de mettre cette norme européenne en application: Allemagne, Autriche, Belgique, Danemark, Espagne,
Finlande, France, Grèce, Irlande, Islande, Italie, Luxembourg, Norvège, Pays-Bas, Portugal, République Tchèque,
Royaume-Uni, Suède et Suisse.
Elle est basée sur un nouveau projet de norme préparé par l'Organisation internationale de normalisation (ISO). Il
s'agit d'une nouvelle version du texte concerné (ISO/TC138/SC2/N673 révisé), sans modification du contenu
technique.
Les paramètres qui dépendent des matériaux et/ou les exigences de comportement sont contenus dans la ou les
normes systèmes concernées
Cette norme fait partie d'une série de normes sur les méthodes d'essai, sur lesquelles reposent les normes de
