BRII The IS0 Reconimendation R 299, Tslotsjor machine tools, was drawn up by Tcchiiical Committee ISO/TC 39, Machine tools,
the Sccretariat of which is held by the Association Française de Normalisation (AFNOR).
Work on this question led, to the adoption of Draft IS0 Recommendation No. 452, which was circulated to all the IS0 Member
Bodies for enquiry. It was approved by 26 Member Bodies. No Member Body opposed the approval of the Draft.
This Draft IS0 Recommendation was then submitted by correspondence to the IS0 Council, which decided to accept it as an
IS0 RI BRIEF HISTORY RELATING TO THE SECOND EDITION
The Secretariat of Technical Committee ISO/TC 39, Machine tools, decided to revise the IS0 Recommen-
dation R 299-1963 and adopted Draft IS0 Recommendation No. 1960 on this question. It also adopted Draft IS0
Recommendation No. 1961, which was a complement to this IS0 Recommendation.
These Draft IS0 Recommendations were circulated to all IS0 Member Bodies for enquiry in February 1970.
They were approved, subject to a few modifications of an editorial nature, by the following Member Bodies :

These two Draft IS0 Recommendations were then submitted by correspondence as a single document to the
IS0 Council, which decided to accept it as a second edition of the IS0 Recommendation R 299, under the new title :
Machine tool tables - T slots and corresponding bolts.
The present edition cancels and replaces the first edition of IS0 Recommendation R 299-1963.

HISTORIQUE
La Recommandation ISO/R 299, Rainuresà Tpour machines-outils, a été élaborée par le Comité Technique ISO/TC 39,
Machines-outils, dont le Secrétariat est assuré par l’Association Française de Normalisation (AFNOR).
Les travaux relatifs à cette question aboutirent à i’adoption du Projet de Recommandation IS0 No 452 qui fut soumis à
l’enquête de tous les Comités Membres de VISO. I1 fut approuvé par 26 Comités Membres. Aucun Comité Membre ne se déclara
opposé à l’approbation du Projet.
Ce Projet de Recommandation IS0 fut dors soumis par correspondance au Conseil de l’IS0, qui décida de l’accepter comme
RECOMMANDATION ISO.

HISTORIQUE RELATIF À LA DEUXIÈME ÉDITION
Le Secrétariat ISO/TC 39, Machines-outils, décida de reviser la Recommandation ISO/R 299-1963, et adopta
le Projet de Recommandation IS0 No 1960 relatif à cette question. I1 adopta également le Projet de Recomman-
dation IS0 No 1961, qui constituait un complément à cette Recommandation ISO.
Ces Projets de Recommandations IS0 furent soumis,en février 1970,à l’enquête de tous les Comités Membres
de I’ISO. Ils furent approuvés, sous réserve de quelques modifications d’ordre rédactionnel, par les Comités Membres
suivants :

Le Comité Membre du Royaume-Uni a approuvé le Projet No 1960, mais s’est déclaré opposé à l’approbation
du Projet NO 1961.

Ces deux Projets de Recommandations IS0 furent alors soumis par correspondance, sous la forme d’un seul
document, au Conseil de 1’ISO qui décida de l’accepter comme deuxième édition de la Recommandation ISO/R 299
sous le nouveau titre : Rainures à T et boulons correspondants.
La piesente édition annule et remplace la première édition de la Recommandation ISO/R 299-1 963.
