BRIEF HISTORY
The IS0 Recommendation R 282, Sampling of Conveyor Belts, was drawn up by Technical
Committee ISO/TC 41, Pulleys and Belts (including Vee-Belts), the Secretariat of which is held by
the Association Française de Normalisation (AFNOR).
Work on this question by the Technical Committee began in 1958 and led, in 1959, to the
adoption of a Draft IS0 Recommendation.
In March 1961, this Draft IS0 Recommendation (No. 441) was circulated to all the IS0
Member Bodies for enquiry. It was approved by the following Member Bodies:

Brazil India Sweden
Chile Iran Turkey
Colombia Israel United Kingdom

HISTORIQUE
La Recommandation ISO/R 282, Echantillonnage des courroies transporteuses, a été éla-
borée par le Comité Technique ISO/TC 41, Poulies et courroies (y compris les courroies trapézoï-
dales), dont le Secrétariat est assuré par l’Association Française de Normalisation (AFNOR).
Les travaux relatifs à cette question furent entrepris par le Comité Technique en 1958 et
aboutirent en 1959 à l’adoption d’un Projet de Recommandation ISO.
En mars 1961, ce Projet de Recommandation IS0 (NO 441) fut soumis à l’enquête de tous
les Comités Membres de 1’ISO. 11 fut approuvé par les Comités Membres suivants:
