This part of this standard does not apply to steel wire taken from manufactured ropes.

Dieser Teil dieser Europäischen Norm legt Anforderungen für kaltgezogenen Draht aus unlegiertem Stahl fest, der für die Herstellung von
3 Seilen für allgemeine Verwendungszwecke und für Aufzüge,
3 Seilen für Anwendungen, für die es keine spezielle Europäische Norm gibt,
verwendet wird.
Dieser Teil dieser Europäischen Norm gilt nicht für Drähte aus dem fertigen Seil.
Dieser Teil dieser Europäischen Norm legt zu folgenden Punkten Anforderungen für kaltgezogenen Draht aus unlegiertem Stahl für Seile für allgemeine Anwendungszwecke fest:

La présente partie de la Norme européenne définit les fils tréfilés en acier non allié utilisés pour la fabrication de :
câbles pour usage général et ascenseurs ;
câbles pour applications pour lesquelles il n'existe pas de norme EN particuliere.
Cette partie de la présente norme ne s'applique pas aux fils d'acier prélevés sur câbles fabriqués.
La présente partie de la présente norme spécifie pour les fils tréfilés en acier non allié pour câbles d'usage courant :
3 les tolérances dimensionnelles ;
3 les caractéristiques mécaniques ;
3 les exigences concernant la composition chimique des fils en acier ;
3 les conditions auxquelles le revetement éventuel doit satisfaire.
En plus des spécifications de la présente partie 2, les spécifications du prEN 10264-1 s'appliquent toujours.
