This standard specifies a method to determine the apparent glass transition temperatures of non-metallic materials.
This standard is applicable to unidirectional tape and woven fabric reinforced plastic or plastic materials like adhesive or neat resin for comparison of the influence on the glass transition temperature resulting from processing-parameters of non-metallic parts, for compatibility tests for checking co-curing effects of different prepreg types or with adhesive.
This standard does not give any directions necessary to meet health and safety requirements. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to consult and establish appropriate health and safety precautions.

Diese Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der scheinbaren Glasübergangstemperaturen von nichtmetallischen Werkstoffen fest.
Diese Norm gilt für beispielsweise mit Klebstoff oder reinem Harz band  und gewebeverstärkten gleichgerichtete(n) Kunststoff oder Kunststoffe zum Vergleichen des Einflusses auf die Glasübergangs-temperatur aus den Verarbeitungsparametern von nichtmetallischen Teilen, für Vergleichsprüfungen zum Überprüfen von Ko-Härtungseffekten von verschiedenen Prepregarten oder mit Klebstoff.
Diese Norm legt keine Anleitung fest, die für das Einhalten der Gesundheits  und Sicherheitsvorschriften erforderlich ist. Es liegt in der Verantwortung des Anwenders dieser Norm, die entsprechenden Gesundheits  und Sicherheitsvorkehrungen zu treffen.

La présente norme spécifie une méthode pour la détermination des températures de transition vitreuse apparente concernant les matériaux non métalliques.
La présente norme est applicable aux plastiques ou aux matières plastiques renforcés de bandes ou de fibres textiles unidirectionnelles tels que les adhésifs ou les résines pures en vue de comparer l’influence exercée sur la température de transition vitreuse résultant des paramètres de traitement des pièces non métalliques dans le cadre des essais de compatibilité destinés à vérifier les effets de co-polymérisation sur différents types de préimprégnés ou sur les adhésifs.
La présente norme ne fournit pas d'indication nécessaire pour satisfaire les exigences d'hygiène et de sécurité. Il est de la responsabilité de l’utilisateur de la présente norme de consulter et de mettre en place les précautions d'hygiène et de sécurité appropriées.

Ta standard se uporablja za enosmerne trakove in z vlakni ojačene polimerne materiale ali polimerne materiale, kot so lepila ali čista smola, za primerjavo vpliva na temperaturno prehodnost stekla, ki je posledica parametrov predelave nekovinskih delov, za preskuse združljivosti za preverjanje učinkov sostrjevanja različnih impregniranih vrst ali z lepilom.
Ta standard ne vsebuje nobenih smernic, potrebnih za izpolnjevanje zdravstvenih in varnostnih zahtev. Uporabnik tega standarda se mora posvetovati in določiti ustrezne zdravstvene in varnostne ukrepe.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
glass transition temperature (Tg)
the glass transition temperature is defined for this standard as the temperature where the sample
exhibits a dramatic change in mechanical and damping behaviour with increasing temperature when
subjected to an oscillating displacement
Note 1 to entry: The Tg values are determined by measuring sample stiffness (storage modulus and damping
(loss modulus/tan δ) with increasing temperature using a recommended Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA)
instrument and evaluating the plots against temperature (see Figure 1).

the Tg-onset is defined as the temperature intersection of extrapolated tangents drawn from points on
the storage modulus curve before and after the onset of the glass transition event
