Woodworking machines - Safety - Part 10: Building site saws (contractor saws) (ISO 19085-10:2018, Corrected version 2019-12)

This international standard deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and events as listed in Clause 4 which are relevant to displaceable building site saws, hereinafter referred to as “machines”, designed to cut solid wood and material with similar characteristics to wood (see ISO 19085-1:2016), when they are operated, adjusted and maintained as intended and under the conditions foreseen by the manufacturer including reasonably foreseeable misuse. Also transport, assembly, dismantling, disabling and scrapping phases are taken into account.

Holzbearbeitungsmaschinen - Sicherheit - Teil 10: Baustellenkreissägemaschinen (ISO 19085-10:2018, korrigierte Fassung 2019-12)

a)   Maschinen mit einem größten Sägeblattdurchmesser von weniger als 350 mm oder mehr als 500 mm;
b)   handgeführte Holzbearbeitungsmaschinen einschließlich irgendwelcher Einrichtungen, die ihre Verwendung in einer anderen Weise, d. h. in einem Gestell montiert, ermöglichen;
c)   Maschinen mit einer Einrichtung zum Schrägstellen des Sägeblattes für Winkelschnitte, Maschinen mit mehr als einer Sägeblattdrehzahl und Maschinen, die mit einem Schiebetisch ausgerüstet sind;

NOTE 1    Pour la définition de machine transportable, voir l'ISO 19085‑1:2017, 3.5.
a)    aux machines avec un diamètre maximal de lame de scie inférieur à 350 mm ou supérieur à 500 mm;
b)    aux machines à bois portatives, y compris toute adaptation permettant leur utilisation de manière différente, c'est-à-dire fixées sur un bâti;
c)    aux machines équipées d'un dispositif d'inclinaison de la lame de scie pour réaliser une coupe oblique, aux machines ayant plusieurs vitesses de rotation de la lame de scie et aux machines équipées d'une table mobile;
NOTE 3    Les outils électroportatifs à moteur  sont couverts par l'IEC 62841‑1 conjointement à l'IEC 62841‑2‑5.

compliance with the normative clauses of this standard given in Table ZA.1 confers, within the limits of
the scope of this standard, a presumption of conformity with the corresponding essential requirements
of that Directive, and associated EFTA regulations.
