Couvre les spécifications et les méthodes d'essai pour le liquide de silicone neuf prévu pour une utilisation dans les transformateurs et tout autre appareil électrotechnique. Les caractéristiques spécifiées du liquide de silicone de Type 1 pour transformateur sont décrites dans le Tableau 1. D'autres caractéristiques seront ajoutées lorsque demandé. NOTE L'entretien du liquide de silicone utilisé dans l'équipement électrotechnique est couvert dans une publication séparée, la EN 60944. Cette édition inclut les modifications techniques majeures suivantes par rapport à l'édition précédente: a) le titre a été modifié; b) le domaine d'application a été adapté au changement de titre; c) les exigences relatives à l'hygiène, à la sécurité et à l'environnement ont été revues pour suivre la pratique environnementale appliquée pour d'autres liquides isolants. L'alcool d'isopropyle remplace maintenant les dissolvants chlorés pour le nettoyage des appareillages d'essai; d) l'Article 8 remplace la Section 2 de la première édition. En conformité avec d'autres documents du TC10, l'ISO 2592 est maintenant la seule méthode indiquée pour mesurer le point du feu et la EN 60814 pour la teneur en eau. La mesure de la tension de claquage est maintenant transférée dans la EN 60156; e) le Tableau 1 remplace la Feuille 1 de la première édition. Deux changements techniques ont été effectués: - le point minimal du feu est augmenté de 330 °C à 340 °C (conformément à la ASTM D4652) et prouve également que les valeurs d'essai de production enregistrées sont d'une plus haute précision. - des valeurs de neutralisation ont été réduites de 0,02 à 0,01 mg KOH/g, conformément aux données d'essais de production. f) l'Annexe A a été supprimée.

Foreword

The text of document 10/619/FDIS, future edition 2 of IEC 60836, prepared by IEC TC 10, Fluids for

electrotechnical applications, was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and was approved by

CENELEC as EN 60836 on 2005-06-01.
This European Standard supersedes HD 565 S1:1993.
It includes the following major technical changes:
a) the title has been modified;
b) the scope has been adapted to meet the changes in the title;

c) health, safety and environmental requirements have been revised in order to follow the

environmental practice carried out for other insulating liquids. Isopropyl alcohol now replaces

chlorinated dissolvents for cleaning test equipment;

d) Clause 8 replaces Section 2 of HD 565 S1. In line with other TC 10 documents, EN ISO 2592

(ISO 2592, not modified) is now the only method specified for measuring fire point and EN 60814

(IEC 60814, not modified) for water content. Breakdown voltage measurement has now been

transferred to EN 60156 (IEC 60156, not modified);
e) Table 1 replaces Sheet 1 of HD 565 S1. Two technical changes have been made:

– the minimum fire point is increased from 330 °C to 340 °C (in conformity with ASTM D4652)

and recognizes also that the test values registered for production are even higher.

– neutralization values have been reduced from 0,02 mg KOH/g to 0,01 mg KOH/g, in line with

production test data.
f) Annex A has been deleted.
The following dates were fixed:
– latest date by which the EN has to be implemented
at national level by publication of an identical
national standard or by endorsement (dop) 2006-03-01
– latest date by which the national standards conflicting
with the EN have to be withdrawn (dow) 2008-06-01
Annex ZA has been added by CENELEC.

FOR ELECTROTECHNICAL PURPOSES
FOREWORD

1) The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is a worldwide organization for standardization comprising

all national electrotechnical committees (IEC National Committees). The object of IEC is to promote

international co-operation on all questions concerning standardization in the electrical and electronic fields. To

this end and in addition to other activities, IEC publishes International Standards, Technical Specifications,

Technical Reports, Publicly Available Specifications (PAS) and Guides (hereafter referred to as “IEC

Publication(s)”). Their preparation is entrusted to technical committees; any IEC National Committee interested

in the subject dealt with may participate in this preparatory work. International, governmental and non-

governmental organizations liaising with the IEC also participate in this preparation. IEC collaborates closely

with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in accordance with conditions determined by

agreement between the two organizations.

2) The formal decisions or agreements of IEC on technical matters express, as nearly as possible, an international
