This document specifies the characterization and the designation of extruded and/or calendered, non-reinforced film or sheeting made of plasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-P). It specifies the corresponding test methods for the assessment of the characteristics.
This document is applicable to film and sheeting in the range of thickness from 0,05 mm to 1 mm.

Overview

EN 15354:2022 (CEN) provides a standardized framework for the characterization and designation of extruded and/or calendered, non-reinforced film and sheeting made of plasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC‑P). The standard applies to products with nominal thicknesses from 0.05 mm to 1 mm and defines the associated test methods used to assess material, dimensional, colour, surface, mechanical and thermal characteristics.

This edition transposes the previous technical specification into a full European Standard, updates normative references and revises key tables. It also includes a normative annex (Annex A) that describes the method for determining emboss retention.

withdrawn at the latest by April 2023.

1 Scope
This document specifies the characterization and the designation of extruded and/or calendered, non-
reinforced film or sheeting made of plasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-P). It specifies the
corresponding test methods for the assessment of the characteristics.
This document is applicable to film and sheeting in the range of thickness from 0,05 mm to 1 mm.
