This part of ISO 10140 specifies laboratory test facilities and equipment for sound insulation measurements of building elements, such as: - components and materials; - building elements; - technical elements (small building elements); - sound insulation improvement systems. It is applicable to laboratory test facilities with suppressed radiation from flanking elements and structural isolation between source and receiving rooms. This part of ISO 10140 specifies qualification procedures for use when commissioning a new test facility with equipment for sound insulation measurements. It is intended that these procedures be repeated periodically to ensure that there are no issues with the equipment and the test facility.

Ta del ISO 10140 določa laboratorije in opremo za merjenja zvočne izolirnosti gradbenih elementov, kot so: - komponente in materiali; - gradbeni elementi; - tehnični elementi (majhni gradbeni elementi); - sistemi za izboljšavo zvočne izolirnosti. Velja za laboratorije z zadušenim sevanjem iz bočnih elementov in strukturno izoliranost med virov in sobami za sprejem. Ta del ISO 10140 določa kvalifikacijske postopke, ki se uporabljajo pri začetku obratovanja novega laboratorija z opremo za merjenje zvočne izolirnosti. This amendment A1 modifies the European Standard EN ISO 10140-5:2010; it was approved by CEN on 20 March 2014.

amendment into the relevant national standard without any alteration. Up-to-date lists and bibliographical references concerning such
national standards may be obtained on application to the CEN-CENELEC Management Centre or to any CEN member.

responsibility of a CEN member into its own language and notified to the CEN-CENELEC Management Centre has the same status as the
official versions.

This document (EN ISO 10140-5:2010/A1:2014) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 43
"Acoustics" in collaboration with the Technical Committee CEN/TC 126 “Acoustic properties of building
elements and of buildings” the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.
This Amendment to the European Standard EN ISO 10140-5:2010 shall be given the status of a national
standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by November 2014, and
conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by November 2014.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
