IEC 60715:2017 specifies dimensional and functional requirements for the compatible mounting of switchgear, controlgear and accessories on some types of rails.
This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition published in 1981 and Amendment 1:1995. This edition constitutes a technical revision.
This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition:
a) the electrical function of the rail for protective earthing is covered by the relevant product standard.
b) the document has been editorially updated to bring it into compliance with the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 2:2016, and drawings have been updated to bring them in compliance with ISO tolerancing and drawing standards.
It has the status of a horizontal standard in accordance with IEC Guide 108.

IEC TR 63054:2017(E) applies to the fire risk analysis of low-voltage switchgear and controlgear (hereinafter referred to as "equipment") referring to the IEC 60947 relevant publications, where the following applies:
- only the case where a fire originates (typically under fault or misuse conditions) within the equipment;
- only equipment installed in normal environments. Hazardous environments, for example in presence of combustible materials, is not to be considered;
- only the case of products selected, installed and used according to the manufacturer instructions and installation rules.
In addition, the following cases are not considered:
- faults addressed by IEC TR 61641;
- risks due to smoke emissions;
- double faults, i.e. multiple phenomenon, potentially combined.

IEC 62683-1:2017 establishes the reference dictionary of the general description of low-voltage switchgear and controlgear classes based on defined properties.
This dictionary is used to facilitate the exchange in electronic format of data describing low-voltage switchgear and controlgear.
This document provides clear and unambiguous definitions of a limited number of properties and classes which are mainly used for presentation, selection and identification of products particularly in electronic catalogues.
Each property has an unambiguously defined meaning and naming, and, where relevant, a defined value list, a defined format and a defined unit.
The intention is not to cover manufacturer-specific features.

IEC 60947-2:2016 applies to circuit-breakers, the main contacts of which are intended to be connected to circuits, the rated voltage of which does not exceed 1 000 V a.c. or 1 500 V d.c.; it also contains additional requirements for integrally fused circuit-breakers. This fifth edition cancels and replaces the fourth edition published in 2006, Amendment 1:2009 and Amendment 2:2013. This edition constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant additions with respect to the previous edition:
- tests for verification of selectivity in Annex A (see A.5.3);
- critical load current tests for d.c. circuit-breakers (see 8.3.9);
- new Annex P for circuit-breakers for use in photovoltaic applications;
- new Annex R for residual-current circuit-breakers with automatic reclosing functions. The contents of the corrigendum of November 2016 have been included in this copy.
