IEC 60947-9-1:2019 covers low-voltage arc quenching devices, hereinafter referred to as AQDs, which are intended to eliminate arc-faults in low-voltage assemblies (typically low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies in accordance with the IEC 61439 series), by creating a lower impedance current path, to cause the arcing current to transfer to the new current path. This new current path is maintained until a short-circuit protection device (SCPD) interrupts the short-circuit current.
AQDs are installed in low-voltage assemblies, connected to the main circuit, preferably as close as possible to all primary power sources.
Their rated voltage does not exceed 1 000 V AC or 1 500 V DC.

IEC 60715:2017 specifies dimensional and functional requirements for the compatible mounting of switchgear, controlgear and accessories on some types of rails.
This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition published in 1981 and Amendment 1:1995. This edition constitutes a technical revision.
This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition:
a) the electrical function of the rail for protective earthing is covered by the relevant product standard.
b) the document has been editorially updated to bring it into compliance with the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 2:2016, and drawings have been updated to bring them in compliance with ISO tolerancing and drawing standards.
It has the status of a horizontal standard in accordance with IEC Guide 108.

IEC TR 63054:2017(E) applies to the fire risk analysis of low-voltage switchgear and controlgear (hereinafter referred to as "equipment") referring to the IEC 60947 relevant publications, where the following applies:
- only the case where a fire originates (typically under fault or misuse conditions) within the equipment;
- only equipment installed in normal environments. Hazardous environments, for example in presence of combustible materials, is not to be considered;
- only the case of products selected, installed and used according to the manufacturer instructions and installation rules.
In addition, the following cases are not considered:
- faults addressed by IEC TR 61641;
- risks due to smoke emissions;
- double faults, i.e. multiple phenomenon, potentially combined.

IEC 62683-1:2017 establishes the reference dictionary of the general description of low-voltage switchgear and controlgear classes based on defined properties.
This dictionary is used to facilitate the exchange in electronic format of data describing low-voltage switchgear and controlgear.
This document provides clear and unambiguous definitions of a limited number of properties and classes which are mainly used for presentation, selection and identification of products particularly in electronic catalogues.
Each property has an unambiguously defined meaning and naming, and, where relevant, a defined value list, a defined format and a defined unit.
The intention is not to cover manufacturer-specific features.

IEC 60947-2:2016 applies to circuit-breakers, the main contacts of which are intended to be connected to circuits, the rated voltage of which does not exceed 1 000 V a.c. or 1 500 V d.c.; it also contains additional requirements for integrally fused circuit-breakers. This fifth edition cancels and replaces the fourth edition published in 2006, Amendment 1:2009 and Amendment 2:2013. This edition constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant additions with respect to the previous edition:
- tests for verification of selectivity in Annex A (see A.5.3);
- critical load current tests for d.c. circuit-breakers (see 8.3.9);
- new Annex P for circuit-breakers for use in photovoltaic applications;
- new Annex R for residual-current circuit-breakers with automatic reclosing functions. The contents of the corrigendum of November 2016 have been included in this copy.

It applies to control circuit devices having a rated voltage not exceeding 1 000 V a.c. (at a frequency not exceeding 1 000 Hz) or 600 V d.c. This fourth edition cancels and replaces the third edition published in 2003 and its Amendment 1:2009. This edition constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition:
a) update of normative references;
b) update and restructuration of subclauses in 7.1;
c) addition of material requirements and test;
d) udpate of EMC requirements;
e) clarification of requirements and update of 8.2;
f) addition of requirements for screwless-type clamping units;
g) udpate of existing Tables 4 and 5;
h) addition of new Tables 6, 7, 8 and 9;
i) addition of a new Figure 10 ;
j) addition of a new Annex N.
This publication is to be read in conjunction with IEC 60947-1:2007.

IEC 62026-3:2014 specifies an interface system between single or multiple controllers, and control circuit devices or switching elements. The interface system uses two conductor pairs within one cable - one of these pairs provides a differential communication medium and the other pair provides power to the devices. This part establishes requirements for the interoperability of components with such interfaces. This third edition of IEC 62026-3 cancels and replaces the second edition published in 2008. This third edition constitutes a technical revision. The main changes with respect to the previous edition are the followings:
- specification of group 4 messages (5.1.2);
- clarifications on messaging protocol (5.2);
- addition of I/O multicast poll messages (5.5.2 and 5.5.8);
- clarifications on slave behaviour (5.5.4 and 5.5.9);
- clarifications on physical layer (transceiver) in 5.7;
- miscellaneous corrections/clarifications on cable (8.2);
- clarifications on EMC testing (9.2.10) and logical testing (9.3). The contents of the corrigendum of March 2015 and corrigendum of October 2019 have been included in this copy.
