Metallic materials - Brinell hardness test - Part 2: Verification of Brinell hardness testing machines

This Draft European Standard specifies a method for the verification of testing machines used for determining Brinell hardness in accordance with EN 10003-1. It describes a direct verification method for checking the main functions of the machine, and an indirect verification method suitable for the overall checking of the machine. If a testing machine is also to be used for other methods of hardness testing, it shall be verified independently for each method.

In dieser Europäischen Norm ist das Verfahren für die Prüfung von Härteprüfmaschinen zur Bestimmung der Brinellhärte nach EN 10003-1 festgelegt.  In dieser Norm ist ein direktes Prüfverfahren zur Prüfung von Hauptfunktionen der Härteprüfmaschine und ein indirektes Prüfverfahren, das für die Ermittlung der Gesamtabweichung der Härteprüfmaschine geeinet ist, festgelegt.  Wird eine Härteprüfmaschine auch für andere Härteprüfverfahren verwendet, muss sie unabhängig für jedes Verfahren geprüft werden.

Le présent projet de norme européenne définit une méthode de vérification des machines d'essai utilisée pour la détermination de la dureté Brinell conformément à l'EN 10003-1.  Il décrit une méthode de vérification directe des principales fonctions de la machine, et une méthode de vérification indirecte permettant une vérification globale de la machine.  Si une machine doit être également utilisée pour d'autres méthodes d'essai de dureté, elle doit être verifiée indépendamment pour chacune de ces méthodes.
