ISO 9445-1:2009 specifies the tolerances on dimensions and form for continuously cold-rolled stainless steel narrow strip, in thicknesses of up to and including 3 mm and in rolling widths of less than 600 mm. It also applies to cut lengths taken from such strip.
Narrow strip and cut lengths with widths of less than 600 mm, which are manufactured from wide strip by longitudinal slitting, are covered in ISO 9445-2.

Dieser Teil der ISO 9445 legt die Grenzabmaße und Formtoleranzen fest für kontinuierlich gewalztes Kalt-band aus nichtrostenden Stählen, in Dicken bis einschließlich 3 mm und in Walzbreiten kleiner als 600 mm. Sie gilt auch für Kaltband in Stäben.
Für längsgeteiltes Kaltbreitband in Breiten unter 600 mm hergestellt aus Kaltbreitband durch Längsteilen und für Stäbe aus diesen Erzeugnissen gilt die Internationale Norm ISO 9445-2.

L'ISO 9445-1:2009 spécifie les tolérances sur les dimensions et la forme des feuillards en acier inoxydable laminés à froid en continu, d'épaisseur inférieure ou égale à 3 mm et dans des largeurs de laminage de moins de 600 mm. Elle s'applique également aux feuillards coupés à longueur à partir des feuillards mentionnés ci-dessus.
Les bandes étroites et les feuillards coupés à longueur dont la largeur est inférieure à 600 mm, qui sont fabriqués à partir de larges bandes par coupe longitudinale, sont traités dans l'ISO 9445-2.

The text of ISO 9445-1:2009 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 17 “Steel” of the
International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO 9445-1:2010 by
Technical Committee ECISS/TC 105 “Steels for heat treatment, alloy steels, free-cutting steels and stainless
steels” the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by September 2010, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by September 2010.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent

Foreword
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies
(ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO
technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been
established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and
non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the
International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization.

1 Scope
This part of ISO 9445 specifies the tolerances on dimensions and form for continuously cold-rolled stainless
