Atomising and spraying equipment for coating materials - Safety requirements

This European Standard applies to the design and construction of spraying equipment for both manual and automatic application of liquid, paste (semi-solid) and powder coating materials. The manual equipment is hand-held and the automatic equipment is operated by auxiliary signals and mounted either rigidly or onto automated devices such as robots, or reciprocating or rotary machines.
The coating material may be atomised by air, by airless, by airless with the assistance of air or mechanically by centrifugal force. With atomisation by centrifugal force, the atomised coating material may be assisted towards the workpiece by controlled air veils.
The atomising and spraying equipment may also be electrostatically supported.
This standard specifically refers to hazards created by or resulting from the use of atomising and spraying equipment, if it is used as determined and in accordance with the foreseeable conditions of the manufacturer (see clause 4).
Atomising and spraying equipment may be linked with supply systems, control circuits, spray booths and/or automated machinery, none of which are covered by the scope of this standard. This may result in the overlapping of some hazards or risks. Such hazards or risks should be taken into consideration when specifying and installing the atomising and spraying equipment.

-   Flocking machines;
-   Equipment related to the atomising and spraying of foodstuffs and pharmaceuticals;

This standard applies to equipment constructed after the date of issue of this standard.

Spritz- und Sprühgeräte für Beschichtungsstoffe - Sicherheitsanforderungen

Diese Norm gilt für Konstruktion und Herstellung von Spritz- und Sprühgeräten zum Auftragen von flüssigen,
pastösen oder pulverigen Beschichtungsstoffen auf Werkstücke, und zwar sowohl für handgeführte als auch
automatische, ortsfeste Spritz- und Sprühgeräte. Handgeführte Spritz- und Sprühgeräte werden von Hand,
automatische Spritz- und Sprühgeräte werden durch Hilfsenergie betätigt und sind entweder fest installiert
oder an Automatisierungseinrichtungen wie Roboter, Bewegungseinrichtungen oder sich drehenden
Maschinen befestigt.
Die Zerstäubung des Beschichtungsstoffes kann mittels Luft, hydromechanisch (airless, luftlos), luftunterstützt
oder mechanisch mit Zentrifugalkraft erfolgen. Bei Zerstäubung durch Zentrifugalkraft kann der zerstäubte
Beschichtungsstoff durch unterstützende Druckluftschleier auf das Werkstück hin gerichtet werden.
Sprühgeräte können zusätzlich elektrostatisch unterstützt sein.
Diese Norm behandelt alle Gefährdungen, die auf Spritz- und/oder Sprühgeräte für Beschichtungsstoffe
zutreffen, wenn sie bestimmungsgemäß und entsprechend den vorhersehbaren Bedingungen des Herstellers
verwendet werden (siehe Abschnitt 4).
Spritz- und Sprühgeräte können in Verbindung mit Versorgungsanlagen, Steuerkreisen, mit Spritzständen,
-wänden oder -kabinen oder Automatisierungseinrichtungen stehen, die jedoch nicht im Anwendungsbereich
dieser Norm liegen. Dadurch können sich überlagernde Gefahren entstehen. Diesen ist bei der Auslegung
und der Installation der Spritz- und Sprühgeräte besondere Beachtung zu schenken.
Zusätzliche Bestandteile dieser Norm sind Mindestanforderungen an Benutzerinformationen:

Diese Norm gilt nicht für:
⎯ Beflockungsgeräte;
⎯ Geräte zum Versprühen oder Verspritzen von Nahrungs- und Genussmitteln sowie Pharmaka;
⎯ Air Brushes für grafische und künstlerische Arbeiten;

Cette norme s'applique !à la conception" et à la fabrication d'un équipement d'atomisation tant manuel
qu'automatique pour l'application de produits de revêtement liquides, pâteux (semi-solides) ou pulvérulents.
L'équipement manuel est tenu en main, et l'équipement automatique est actionné par des signaux auxiliaires et
monté soit de façon fixe, soit sur des dispositifs automatisés tels que robots, réciprocateurs, ou machines rotatives.
Les produits peuvent être atomisés avec de l’air, sans air, avec l'assistance d'air ou mécaniquement par force
centrifuge. Pour l'atomisation par force centrifuge, le produit de revêtement atomisé peut être dirigé vers la pièce par
des jets d'air contrôlés.
L'équipement d'atomisation et de pulvérisation peut aussi être de type électrostatique.
Cette norme se rapporte spécifiquement aux risques créés ou résultant de l'utilisation d'équipements d'atomisation
ou de pulvérisation, s'ils sont utilisés comme déterminés, et en accord avec les conditions prévues par le fabricant
(voir article 4).
Un équipement d'atomisation et de pulvérisation peut être relié à des systèmes d'alimentation, des circuits de
commande, des cabines ou un système de pulvérisation automatisé, qui ne sont pas couverts par cette norme. Il peut
en résulter quelques risques ou phénomènes dangereux se chevauchant. De tels risques ou phénomènes dangereux
doivent être pris en considération lors de la spécification et de l'installation de l'équipement d'atomisation et de
pulvérisation.
Les autres éléments de cette norme sont :
- manuel d'utilisation,
- marquage.
Cette norme exclut :
- machines à floquer,
- équipements relatifs à l'atomisation et à la pulvérisation de denrées alimentaires et pharmaceutiques,
- pistolets aérostyles pour artistes,
- équipements pour l'alimentation ou la circulation de produit de revêtement sous pression,
- dispositifs automatiques tels que robots, réciprocateurs, ou machines rotatives.

Razprševalna in brizgalna oprema za prekrivne materiale - Varnostne zahteve

Ta evropski standard se uporablja za načrtovanje in izdelavo brizgalne opreme tako za ročno kot avtomatsko nanašanje prekrivnih materialov v obliki tekočine, pastozne mase (poltrde) in prahu. Ročna oprema je za ročno rabo, avtomatska oprema pa se upravlja s pomožnimi signali ter je montirana bodisi togo ali na avtomatske naprave, kot so roboti ali koračni oz. rotacijski stroji. Prekrivni material se lahko razprši z zračnim brizganjem, z brezzračnim brizganjem, z brezzračnim brizganjem s pomočjo zračnega ali mehansko s centrifugalno silo. Pri razprševanju s centrifugalno silo se lahko razpršen prekrivni material usmeri proti obdelovancu z nadzorovanimi zračnimi zavesami. Razprševalno in brizgalno opremo je mogoče tudi elektrostatično podpreti. Ta standard se nanaša zlasti na nevarnosti, ki jih povzroča ali nastanejo zaradi uporabe razprševalne in brizgalne opreme, če se uporablja kot določeno in v skladu s pogoji, ki jih je predvidel proizvajalec (glej Klavzulo 4). Razprševalno in brizgalno opremo je mogoče povezati s sistemi oskrbe, krmilnimi tokokrogi, kabinami za brizganje in/ali avtomatskimi stroji, ki jih ne zajema področje uporabe tega standarda. Zaradi tega lahko pride do prekrivanja nekaterih tveganj in nevarnosti. Takšna tveganja in nevarnosti je treba upoštevati pri določanju in vgradnji razprševalne in brizgalne opreme.  Nadaljnje teme za ta standard so minimalni podatki za uporabnika: - Navodila za uporabo, - Označevanje.
